Posted up some gps tracks after last year's event: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=812730 I'll check the calendar for this year's festivities
Sweet - I'm so in. Expect to be unemployed that month, so should totally be able to swing it. Promise not to break anything this time! (Although maybe I'll bring some of the percocet they gave me last time just in case...)
IN!!!! Had a Blast last year! not sure if Dad will make it but I'm in and I think the SO might be in too. umm I'll get shirt sizes in a bit
Very Big Bike friendly! Most long routes are good for 650cc to 1200cc bikes. Long dirt roads and some highway sections on most rides. Lots of KLR650's, 990's and GS/GSA's. I rode my GS last year.
Awesome... ...I've made the 1st and 2nd, so must make the 3rd!!!......Thanks for organizing jesse....
Right on! I'd be on the GSA as I can't justify the fuel cost to tow the WR out, so this would be perfect. I might bring a rear dirt tire and mount it when I get there so as not to shag a good knobby on the way there on the long drone from Kalifornistan...
That is a good idea! I rode with the Tourance EXP's last year and will use the Heidenau k60's this year. The EXP's worked well enough but I had to focus on every turn in the dirt. I just spent some time in Death Valley with the K60's and had much better traction in the turns in the dirt. They are also a decent road tire too. I rode out and back from Temecula and have very little wear.
We will be starting pre-rides in April for anyone that is going to be in the area and wants to do some exploring. Post to everyone in the thread and we will coordinate the ride! Thanks, Jesse
I'd prolly be able to do weekend rides. and btw my Dad says he'll go again this year. S.O. thinks she'll be going and we'll be needing 2 M's and a L and prolly a S shirt
Nope, ive been after him to get one so he can do his own shtuff but meh w/e, his name is Mark. another friend of mine will prob go unless shes out on a fire somewhere. and Dad might try talking Mother into going. So its looking tentatively like it'll be me + 3, but we'll only need two tent spots
Had a great time last year. Not sure if we can make July this year, but we'll be rolling through the area sometime in May - headed for Moab. Pete
Updated post above, but you might not notice - boss already has that week off so I cant get off that weekend. Maybe next year.
