I had good intentions, but when your little bike has a dead battery, with electric start, fuel injection, and a rekluse clutch, you're basically screwed. :huh

The bird that gut-bombed me was actually aiming for Oliver, he just had some bad intel. :evil
The driveway with the pigs and chickens actually used to be a road....... really it did

Shelb didn't break his wrist (thnkfully) but it was sure stiff Sunday morning, :eek1

However, the "little" bike took it's toll on me ...... the franken hands were sore and stiff. But that's ok, it just continues my Alaska conditioning!:lol3

Great pics William. It was a great ride!

Yo Keith, yours were on more than Oliver's. I thought you were doing an endurance test on them.

The reason I ask is 4 DS riders (at least 2 had lime dayglow gear) passed over the I 57 bridge heading west through Arcola. around 3PM Saturday. I was riding west on an errand run, and then home. I beeped and waved when I was in the gas station. Was this you guys terrorizing our fair city?:lol3

......I think only I (KWC) had dayglo on, but I could be mistaken for two regular sized humans

We were at the DQ just west of the bridge around 3-3:30 maybe?

We did, however, see what looked like a KLR herd of about 4 bikes (including someone with a pillion) pull out of the gas station and head west as we were getting ready to leave DQ, maybe that's who you saw.

All we terrorized was a blizzard, mango smoothie, chocolate sunday and a soft serve cone.....

KWC (dual sport rides make me fat....well, fatter)

Yep, I though at least a few of the bikes where KLRs and yes one had a pillion. I live west just outside of town, you would have passed by on your way to Arthur if you drove Route 133.

Sounds like you guys are starting some kind of socialist riding club? Who brings the manifestos?

You guys picked a good day for a ride, looks like an iteresting route down there. I haven't been to the Casey track in years, is it still as long as it was 15 years ago? It was always a good one to test your endurance.:1drink

We will have him drinking lattes, wearing Birkenstocks, beating his weapons into ploughshares, driving a Volvo, growing organic veggies and sponsoring a starving Guatemalan kid in no time! Kumbaya! :0-0

I have to call BS on this whole story.
I don't think there are any roads like this anywhere in IL.
You guys went to Bixby right?

Ha.. Just kidding. Looks like a great ride. My invite must have gotten lost in cyberspace. Ha

Bege now has a new flat spot on his knobby, KWC brake checked him right after you dropped out Gary.

My underwear were fine when I got home, that's always good news.

And for some reason, KWC went full racer after Mount Zion. He had those horizontal heads on the Beemer glowing red.

I sure missed William though. It's just not a proper ride without him.

.....the lady in the mini van gave me, she sends it to you with her love Brian.

One look at this pic will tell you if William would have enjoyed this ride.

Here, Bigborefan takes advantage of a lapse in Gary's attention to fulfill his life long dream, by stealing Gary's beemer...he even has "skulky shoulders', Spy vs Spy style!

Too fast, bad line, slimey mud, heavy bike....all conspired to ding me here. Cow is pointing back from whence we came. Like a doofus, I saw Gary almost wreck on the same line and decided to go him one better....

Hmmm....what now boys, the road seems to be flooded.....

I know !! Send in Moses to see how deep it is...

Only a little over a foot.....um....Gaaaarrryyyy!!! Come back!!

We sent Bege in to recon the water hole.....then he came back to make sure the big beemers didn't drown!

Great ride boys....thanks for leading Gary! (again)

...and glad to hear Bigbore didn't make "no no" in his pants.

    Cheers!

How bout the brake check ....... I guess that Bege was just practicing his syncronized riding so that he could one day ride as close as Big Bore .:evil

Is that mud on my bike? I checked this morning and it's just crusty dirt!:huh

I was really glad to hear that John had clean pants when he got home ..... HE WAS SITTING ON MY BIKE!!!!!!:eek1

And finally, what are you talking about "I saw Gary almost wreck" ......... I was in complete control the entire time. I had to be, BigBore was only three inches off my left side! :ricky:muutt

    Another great Central IL ride!

I was just trying to stay in that nice little clean air pocket and avoid the dust. Plus, I am an excellent driver, so no worries. It's been years since I actually ran over anyone.
