Maple Springs gate open as of this afternoon. I had a nice blast up and over from Bedford Motorway around mid day. Gate to the towers was closed though.

RCM with the fam bam. Green beer at the top. rr later. Bringing the tow straps in case we need to drag a gs back to the road.

Gate was open at the bottom but was closed at 4 corners.

I might try for a late afternoon tour say around 5:00.
i haven't been up there in months.

Somebody needs to go to the track lol

There was a news report about a bunch of cops going to be in santiago due to the recent crashes.

I started out in this forest as my stomping grounds after shortly getting my first dual sport just about a year ago. Met a bunch of great people that led me to Santiago peak. Lots of street and fireroads miles were put on the bike for experience over the year. Trabuco creek is lots of fun with small obstacles and closer to trail riding but still only fireroads. I followed one of you FFer's up the side the other week and really shat my pants on the gnarly hills. I still have yet to go up the "Intimidator" and will do when I feel up to the challenge Last weekend I found myself in SBNF Miller Canyon OHV hitting up some real single tracks and ended up on some black diamond trails. Really shat my pants and I'm still sore from the beating of handling my big ass bike. Broke my bike in many places and bumped my knee but it's all good because it's the most challenging ride I've done to date. CNF is still going to be my stomping grounds and will continue to go when they open eventually and when my tires are too bald to go anywhere else. Really wished there were more single tracks up there I still don't know why there aren't any when everywhere else there are super sweet trails. I am moving to greener pastures of SBNF to do some real single track riding. The long boring stretch of street riding is going to suck but the sweet trails makes up for the mundane part of the ride dealing with caged drivers swerving left and right talking on their phones. I guess the point I'm trying to make is.... CNF sucks!

Yes sir, that would be me. What were you riding? If i would have known I would have hit Ortega with you, but luckily I didn't. I would have had a ticket also. There was CHP everywhere Sunday. Dodged a couple as well.

I would be down for the meet up, but I need to upgrade the stock headlight and stator, they are completely weak sauce. Have fun.
