Every one of my friends rides a Cruiser. I could not get into that kind of bike. 1 Year and 8,400 miles and I am still happy.
I'm a dual sport guy who swore off street bikes back in the early '90s after I almost killed myself on a FZ600 I got for free. Traded it for a WR250 after about a week. I hadn't swung a leg over a street bike since a friend brought over a new (then) Griso a couple years ago. Damn it was purty, so I rode it and thought if I were to get another street bike the Griso would be the one. Every time one of my buddies would show up with a new Harley or Triumph I'd ponder on the Griso. Unfortunately my friend with the Griso was severly injured in a bike accident a while back. He wadded up his Aprilia 450 off road and asked if I'd like to buy his Guzzi. Guess I'm a "street bike" guy now. Took off the bags yesterday and put on a tail tidy.
My 1972 Moto Guzzi Eldorado on the Trans-Labrador Highway. Trip Report: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=718205 Apologies to those who've already been there (and are perhaps bored with it by now) Nick
jas... Yes for the first pic. Brought along the tabletop tripod and captured three EV bracketed images. For the last two, applied a dab of tone mapping. BTW, Niiiiice Breva and V7 pics.
My friend's Landspeed Record bike. Based on a mid '80s LeMans. Stock frame, suspension, gearbox, has gone 176+ at Bonneville. Pictured here at El Mirage:
