Finally got my GS as well, just got back to the office after picking it up. I can't stop grinning, this bike is so much fun.

Got the tank bag thrown in for free as I actually let someone else take the first bike that came in that matched my specs as they had a trip coming up soon, so I would have had a bike since last Thursday otherwise. It was nice helping someone out though.

+1 Those bars take a lot away from the clean look of the bike. Seem excessive unless you're off-roading then who cares about looks.

Not to worry, I kept the broken headlight bucket to fiddle with. I offered it to clearwater on the chance they might want to experiment:evil

Nice work! What type of mesh is it? And is it easy to cut?

But... ok the mesh I understand. How did you form (or find?) the frames needed?

Those are just the original radiator shrouds that come on the bike.

Very cool... and have space for this? Nice.

You don't have a photo of the opposite side do you?

Yes there is space. It seems most of the radiator guards just get squeezed between the shroud and the frame of the radiator itself (I believe the actual cooling fins are inset slightly so the guard never comes in contact). I will try to take some pictures of mine for you in a little while, though I have the touratech guards and not the cool, much cheaper homemade ones.
