It's Alaska. It's winter. It must be the what Yamaha was thinking about when they designed the BigWheel 350 back in the mid eighties. Can't really figure any other reason, except maybe shrooms. And many of them.

I had a big wheel 200 back in the day. That thing was a beast. It loved the muddy hills of Kentucky!!!

OK,Mr. BW,I'm ready.....by the time Yamaha brings the BW350 back,these little guys will be fully grown .....

The 200 is everything that the 350 is, except when it comes to torque. They will both climb trees with a first gear that is so low, that it is almost a reverse. But the 350 has a sticker on the side that says "350" and that automatically makes it cooler than a 200.

Those are the sweetest looking BW80s that I have ever seen. I can totally embrace your philosophy: "Start them young and start them weird"

Thank you,Mr. B/W.....I too have often wondered why Yamaha didn't continue to offer atleast one size of the B/W family.....Their Trail Wing,the Rokon and various Chinknese designs/copies aren't suitable replacements.
You've obviously spent a lot of time on one, and your video is great... I'd like to see
a repowered B/W350 using an IT 465 or 490 mill.... that'd be a fun ride!

The TW200 is the direct descendant of the BigWheel. The most obvious difference is the lack of a jackscrew on the rear swingarm that prevents it from accepting an ATV tire on the back.

There is a BW350 that was re-engined with a WR400 motor. That's pretty cool, but I think that the ultimate fat-tire evolution is this:

It think that the BigWheel was discontinued while other similar grade products, like the TW200 and XT225, continue to be manufactured was due to it's not being a dual sport.
