I can attest that these weren't 3,000 road/gravel miles either. :uhoh Some serious off road, roadbook rides, and singletrack, all trying to break the thing.

Still waiting for more pics, Chris! :ddog :lol3

what's the breakdown on the Rigid LED Dually & D2?

I take it one is more of a flood beam and one more of a spot beam?

    Yes,
    Dually has a spot pattern.
D2 has much wider pattern (flood) and has a narrow beam slightly brighter within.
When both are on... look out! Super bright!

From what I understand. You can get other beam patterns (reflectors) from Rigid. (haven't looked into detail yet)

*edit: You will need a stator upgrade to run both. You can run the dually only with the stock stator.

Nice, can the Dually remotely pass as a low beam if aimed down?

First let me state these are not DOT certified so they are off road only lights. (hear that lawyers)

I have been in the situation where I had to use a bit of road at night. Support is designed to be able to tilt the lights up and down. Earlier I had adjusted the Dually, tilted it down a bit. I did not blind anyone and did not get any brights flashed at me. The pattern was tight on the road and useful.

    Nice, Thanks!

Now where are those extra pictures?

I'm really interested in the kit, but need to justify the expense.

Just to be clear: the large Acerbis tank DOES NOT come with the kit, correct?

Pretty sure you are correct. Chris is probably on his way to Buenos Aires, so it might be a spell before a reply.

I'm 99.9% sure the tank is not included in the cost of the kit. Chris left for the airport about an hour ago. He has a layover at Dulles, so he may check in before his flight to BA.

    From the web site: www.rallymotokit.com/

<FORM method=post action=http://www.rallymotokit.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=BASK>The Adventure Kit - The ultimate bolt on, lightweight, long distance kit.

    You will receive:

    - Fiberglass Fairing w/ white gel coat finish,
    - 6000 Series aluminum support frames,
    - Stainless steel mounting hardware,
    - Rigid LED - Dually,
    - Rigid LED - D2,
    - Fairing support bracket,
    - Universal support bracket for GPS/Ram mount,
    - Clear poly light cover,
    - Fairing to tank attachment straps

Chris did mention he was working on getting a deal from MX-1 West on the 6.3 gal Acerbis tank for people that were interested in buying the complete set-up, but I'm assuming the tank is extra $$$.

OK, thanks. I guess what confused me is that while I can read the list of items included in the kit clearly in several places, it isn't stated anywhere on the website that the 6.3g Acerbis tank is a critical part of the kit(and it is).

Any plans to retain the tower, bracketry, lights, etc but make a fairing for the smaller, narrower 3.2g Acerbis tank as well? Seems like a simple adaptation and I don't always want the bulk of the 6.3g tank. I have both and it would be nice to be able to adapt between them readily...

No rush on answer time, I just wanted to ask publically so that maybe the question in other's minds can be answered readily as well.

That's a good question Tim, the short answer is maybe :lol3

For now we're going to limit production to 10 units for the big tank on the bikes listed. We'll see how that goes and then decide how to proceed. We might end up only doing the 10 units or we could branch out to make systems for other bike / tank combos.

I do not own the type of bike you build these kits for, or really have the need for this set-up. But, all I can say is that kit is sweeet.

    Good luck with your business.
