Anyone still rides them?care to share some infos and photos? just got one again for as cheap as SGD$600 for a 10yr old bike with unlimited milege..currently i am the 3rd owner.the 2nd used it for 4yrs. anyways...my first cleanup on the bike..some photos to see... just incase if happen i wont be keeping it... originally the bike have this clanky sound as you move..so check and replaced the front sprocket...the original ones already beaten badly so after change the sprocket..thought can smile...but the sound still there...next change is the chain and rear sprocket after 4hrs.
well,...it dont just stop there.. changed the handlebar to afam dirtbike handlebar,handgrips,cut a few inch both ends..replaced signals to DRZ SM clear signals..and jacked up the rear..removed the no plate light,and shift the no plate upwards will do the fork,conebearings,chain and rear sprocket up next. the butt end after the linkage mod.
I had one for about a month. I had heard good things, and they are a gorgeous bike. I found it very difficult to modulate the throttle, though. About mid-turn, the thing would shoot off like a rocket when it hit the power range. Maybe I wasn't keeping the revs up high enough, but it got on my nerves. That little bike was a stick of dynomite! Hella fast. Why do you want to get the back up higher?
well... anyways.. back on it right the very weekend.clean the airfilter. and a little paintwork on the plastics. and the very next day to it...got the headlights changed. and some decals job.
anyways..i did the fork oil changed,fork seal,dust cover,engine oil change,grease the conebearings,mod belly pan and a little windscreen on the headlite.. dust cover and fork seal..SGD40bux total clean up the entire fork and bellypan installed and a tiny little screen and well...how do i look on the bandit? more to come.

and my 1st coffee session with the few local Banditos. picture was bad using my camera phone..at night,even worst.
I like the Bandit 400. It is a popular bike amongst the inseam challenged. It is nice, sporty and they can touch the ground comfortably without having to lower it. If you plan to sell, I'll have to think for a quick second, but I thought I knew two people in the Little Rock area looking a while back...never mind if you are in Singapore...saw that a second too late!
here's the latest upgrades...till today,i am still hunting for the gsxr front end in local garage sales.. added Tag T2 handlebar and clamps. now with this bar setup,i felt the riding posture just right for me. here's my ASV lever upgrade..removed the clutch sensor switch.removed the ERP bracket and relocate the ERP unit. and took her on a little spin on the highway. a 12yr old bike with milege that could reach the moon,able to hit 160km/hr.maybe i should change the rear sprocket from 47 to 43.and add one tooth to the front. really had lots of fun on the bandit that day.
Nicely done... $600 is quite a find. Nice to see pictures of Singapore too. Much better weather than here! What bike are the screen and bellypan off of?
Hey dude..the only pictures of Singapore you see above are mostly under the void deck or carpark...so nothing so great about it. The highways,the bikeshop doing the maintaince,modification,and the petrol station are across the borders...its Malaysia. The weather here at this very month is somewhat temperamental.its normally so hot about 32-35 deg,and sometimes,it just rain like crazy and temperature about 28 deg.this month however alot of unexpected rain.so doin the trails on my XR would only mean mudsplashing... since you like to see some nice shots of Singapore,will do tomoro..
Ooops...sorry..the question. well...the headlight comes from this bike.Honda Sonic125cc..its made in Thailand.SGD$30. i did use the same headlens on my XR too.but with a little fibreglass work. and the bellypan...its from this bike. Its suzuki FXR150.only available in Malaysia.not in Singapore. I got this idea 6yrs back when i spotted one malaysian biker and stopped him to ask him where can i buy them...well...i did it on my 1st bandit back then and it looks good to me.most important,its way cheap.50RM.its about SGD$23. sounds good rite.
Sweet I had it's big brother the 1200 Bandit. One of the guys I ride with has a 400cc Bandit. He can ride the piss out of that thing. Pretty quick bike. This guys looks funny on it also. Like a monkey F'in a football. He's like 6 foot 7 in tall. Here's the bike Here's the guy that owns it. One of the best guys you'll ever meet. He had a bad motorcycle accident a few years ago. He's pretty good now.
that's one reason why i had to mod to jacked up the rear...becoz when you sit,the bike rear just sank.... i intended to saw off the rear mudflap and leave the rear no. plate just like your pal's bandit.but during wet day,the dirt will just fly up to the top rear end of the bike. i notice a handguard on it.issit AT handguard or the DL1000 handgrd?

Suzuki bandit 400cc year 1991 mileage over 35.000 km For know is on a break because here winter came.
