Why do you think I'm damn happy not to live in the bubble that is Auburn and Alabama football? Trust me, there's nothing worse than trailer trash wearing an Auburn or Alabama sweatshirt, half-drunk who worships his team.

Worse the HD riders I tell you. :gerg

I wouldn't have thought that Tennessee had any sidewalk fans these days. :dunno

Well, either went to Bama, or lives in an orange trailer somewhere in TN.

    1) I would love to see Alabama and Oregon at the end of the regular season.

    2) While I'm a student at the lovely University of Tennessee, I was born and raised in Gainesville. Dad went to UF, dad's mom got her doctorate at UF, dad's dad was the psych department head at UF, I have pencil lead in my hand from the neutron activation analysis lab at UF... Twenty years there, with my most formative football years being Spurrier's. I think my Gator love is founded and legitimate. :) Florida first, Tennessee second.

    Report from the bums--

One pass completion for nine yards. Yep one for nine. Doesn't sound like a winning combination does it? No passing attempts at all in the second, third of fourth quarters.

With that the Lobos thump Dennis Franchione's (the guy who really turned UNM around from a perpetual doormat, then left them at the altar) Texas State Bobcats. 35-14. Pre-game had this as the most even match for UNM yet. Both teams were similarly situated in CBS 1-124 poll. (Above 100) With Texas State about three positions above UNM. UNM got the home 3 by betters in Vegas.

Lobos D needs to work a bit more on getting off the field, as with Boise State they allowed too many third down conversions. But they looked better in the second half.

Very impressive is Jr Kasey Carrier who ran for four touchdowns and made a key special teams tackle. (Davie likes to use some starters on special teams) Carrier is really quick through holes and very difficult to tackle-think Sprols of SD. I won't be shocked to see him in the NFL in two years.

UNM has been getting great O-line play.

Also of note were true freshman QB Cole Gautsche who lead the team for much of the game and freshman RB Jhurell Pressley. I just hope Cole can learn to throw the ball. :lol3

Next up a trip to Hawaii. So far UNM has beaten all three of Jurgen's pre-season "possibles" they've played with ColoState and UNLV still to come. Hawaii looks weaker and UNM better than I hoped. So dreams of being above .500 are dancing in Jurgen's head. Hell both Wyo and AFA look like they've taken a step backwards from last year. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Note--UNM has now scored more points than in Locksley's entire three year tenure at UNM. And Locksley said we'd have to add another digit to the scoreboard. :lol3

I don't live in an orange trailer, but I do have one of these on layaway.

Anyone else surprised by the line in the USCe at LSU line? LSU favored, really? I don't see it...

Mettenberger is a dead man walking...If it were possible, I think LSU could score negative points against USC...
