The new Street Bobs are the best ones yet, and you did yours just right. If they had the factory customization last year I would be on one of those instead of a Blackline. Enjoy your new ride!

I sold my XR1200, (I do miss her) I was just too old to ride her, I had speeding issues!!! I got a sweet Road King and I feel good riding it so far

If I ever was to get a new Harley, this one would be hard to beat. Has everything I need.
A detachable shield and a set of bags.......what would this be like as a "sometimes" touring bike?

A lot of lovely bikes! Thank you all for sharing.

A buddy of mine pinstriped my Deluxe and I'm enjoying the forward controls as opposed to the footboards.

Warmest regards from up north, Mark H.

Nothing much nicer looking than a black Road King. Beautiful bike!

    Hey all

First post here on advrider, been hanging out on hdforums for quite a while. Started "expanding my horizons" as it were and been lurking for a bit. Glad to know I don't have to trade one of my bikes away to be part of this adventure-riding thing :clap

We've got 3 HDs in the garage right now:

Imagine that, I just joined the HDforums not too long ago.

    Great bikes. Love the fishtails.

    Thanks!

Those are Kerkers with "Rocket Tips" on Cobra true-dual headpipes. It took a lot of research and swapping to find the fishtail look that would work with the SE211 cams, not be obnoxiously loud, and still allow reasonable throughput and not choke the poor bike off.

    SWEET BIKE!

I have been thiking about doing the old pre-1948 rear fender with pogo seat on my softail.

V-Twin and custom Chrome make this pogo seat kit, check it out its really cool:
    http://www.vtwinmfg.com/webapp/wcs/..._10102_3304039_-1_141351_141924_141929_141936

Its a mini plunger that mounts to your frame and uses the pre-1948 seat "T". I have seen these installed on Softails, and it looks really similar to the original pogo seat setup used on the pre-1948 hart tail big twins.

Did you cut the fender strut mounts off of the frame?

Did the pre-1948 hinged rigid fender fit nicely into the softail swingarm, or did it need extensive cutting and welding?

Wow, I can't believe it, but I get to play! Never thought I'd own a Harley, but it's funny how our tastes can change over time.

Just got this one as a surprise gift from my fiance this past Monday! :clap
