Yenster - nice travel set up. Quality 1st post.

I run a Kerker 4-1 on my V4 (Vmax). Sounds like a small block. Tuff.

Further riding reveals absolutely no glitches in idle, steady running lo or hi RPM, acceleration... nada! :clap

A tuner on VFR World opined that Honda jetted these carbed VFR's pretty rich to start with and no jetting is needed to run well with most any pipe.

If excessive 'popping' results (NOPE!) fuel/air mix screws should be uncovered and dialed a smidge.

He advised me just to inspect the plugs for color after some use... Beauty!!

No popping on deceleration but the growling "gurgle" it exudes on backdowns and downshifts sounds delicious! :ear

Quite unsuitable. Please PM your location so I can haul off that rancid piece of junk and leave you with a proper VFR.:deal

On the left for the RC-30. You can't get the wheel changed in a hurry if it's on the right.

edit: you can actually see the exhaust pipe below and just behind the foot-peg/rear brake master cylinder.

Oh, I see. That must be a VFR from the "lean years" where they moved the exhaust to the other side to save money. These bikes also have an odd firing order. Nice to see one of the red headed step children VFR's.

Actually, the bike is (or was when I was younger and more flexible :lol3 ) not too uncomfortable or rack-like because the reach to the bars is rather short, and the seat is surprisingly good.

Healed fine- ankle is a little sore and I have a spectacular thigh bruise that reminds me I fell off; but otherwise ok. A VFR and DR make a whole lot more sense in NJ than this is:

    but NO! :lol3

    KERKER?!?!?!?

Oh dear lord. I think there would be people out there willing to GIVE you another canister to see you take the kerker off that beauty. :)

    (I'm only half kidding...)

    Nice bike!!!!!

    I've had my '94 VFR750 for 11 years now.

Here it is when it was an adventure tourer :D

My wife and I rode 1300km to attend a friend's wedding in central Victoria (we were living in Sydney pre-kids, and took the long way through the Snowy Mountains):

But then I became a daddy and motorcycles were off the agenda for a while (even though mum rides too). The Triumph was sold and the old VFR was retired to the back of the workshop under a cover, but not forgotten about. Over the years I collected bits and pieces with an eye to doing it up one day... '04 R1 front end, CBR929 lower tripleclamp, RC51 upper tripleclamp, 3rd Gen rear wheel, Ohlins shock for CBR900RR, Indigo exhaust headers, and an '02 R6 tail, complete. I also have a Wolf dual carbon fibre underseat exhaust system for it, but the aquisition of the R6 tail killed that off. There's more - Pazzo levers, Epro billet clip-ons, VTR1000 clutch master cylinder, CBR600F4i dash, 45T Chaingang sprocket, Ariete 90 degree valve stems, billet plugs and caps, EWP electric waterpump... and in the workshop is a full Vesrah gasket kit for the day that it is overbored to 840cc :evil

And now I'm (finally) finding some time to have a play with it:

The red tank is off the other '95 VFR750 that I bought my wife for Xmas last year - all original with 19 000km on the odo. I just put it on because everything else is red, but the final colour will probably be white, or an RC30 colour scheme :)

I think the only things that haven't been replaced or modified are the footpeg brackets, which I modified by drilling a pattern into the heel guards ten years ago!

The RC45 scheme is nice, sure, but nothing special. I like the colour scheme that HRC sells its racebikes in:

However, the RC30 scheme is the classic as far as I'm concerned, and this concept version give an idea of how good it can look when applied to a modern bike.
