    All,
I just want to make sure that everyone knows that the video was a compilation of all the photos taken by ADVriders who were there. Brian assembled the ones at his house and I compiled the ones from the guys who stayed here (then we blended them). 100mpg, Meathead, RAW, KV, Becoyote, and Zekester all shared their photos. I was just the guy who threw them together. It is easy when you have great material. Thanks guys.

...my favorite time of the morning.

    getting used to it, frankly.

doing it 6x a day for the past few days is wearing down my fear and loathing of the process.

psychologically speaking , i'm not over it, but i've at least resigned myself to the necessary evil.

    and it is evil.

on a lighter note, i rode the short bus to the mall today, technically yesterday i guess, and WE GOT ICECREAM!

I forgot to wear my football helmet for random head bashing to really give folks something to stare at, but all in all it was great to get out with the family.

Resa started to teach me how to hop curbs today. wheelie-ing up to a chairs 'balance point' takes serious commitment to the process! there's a fine line between holding it up and looping it. it's all about throttle control and i always was a little ham-fisted.

    fun to practice, though!

    3 days, and counting,
    dale

    Mornin Dale,

I burned the video Jeff made and left a copy on your front porch this a.m.
Maybe Amy can bring it today so you can watch it on your laptop.

Have a great day, hopefully 3 more days!

i got fitted for my new wheeler yesterday!

    getting quoted for 2:

    quickie Ti/GT
    kuschall airlite

the kuschall has better bearings and i hear rolls forever. can get some sweet aluminum mag rims too.

the quickie has allot more farkles available (like suspension) but is a little heavier (4lbs). it's also a tiny bit cheaper.

the kuschall doesn't have as much adjustability and is inherently less stable/easier to wheelie.

i'm leaning toward the quickie so i can gradually go from from over to under stable as my skills increase.

    options on my list are:
-24" spynergy rims and hubs w/yellow spokes
    -yellow frame/black apolstry and cushion
-rojo air cushion , low profile
    -fold away push handles
-fabric guard (between wheels and pants)
-90 degree footbar with 2" inset and foot plate
    -5" poly casters
-quick release swing away tubular arm rests (not sure if i'll ever use them but just in case)
    -suspension package

    that's about it.

my next bike was going to be a black and yellow K12R, so i figure i'll continue that theme!

    cheers,
    dale

Shoulda switched to plan B. Start licking random shop windows, little old ladies walking by, that sort of thing. :evil

Spent some time in a chair, the wheelie thing is easy for a rider, you've already got a well developed sense of balance (and self preservation :lol3). One wheel? That's a fricking trick I never learned.

Might I suggest you ask Amy to go to the shop that sells them, then try folding them up, putting them in the car, then reversing the procedure? Bet she'll have a clear choice. :nod

As important as the driveability is to you, she's gotta do the grunt work. :D

Besides, a little consideration now goes a long way...:evil if you know what I mean. :D

    Good Morning Dale!

Yes! I've been waiting 1121 posts to hear you start talking about wheelies. Today is a good day for me having finally gotten my first wish. Now I'm looking forward to the day I wake up to see a picture of the one-handed wheelie, with the other hand proudly waving the ADV Rider single digit salute.

It is funny... I started reading the FacePlant forum to try to learn a bit about how to be a better motorcyclist. Thanks to DaleB and this community, I'm now reading the FacePlant forum to learn a bit about how to be a better human being.

    Thank you all!

    Good Morning Dale!

I just watched the video (excellent, but it got a little blurry at the end). Great job! Your team got a lot accomplished in one day.

We're all thinking about you in the Adams house...
