Almost ready to ship! Haven't heard back regarding the top bolts yet, but will update as soon as I do.
That would be sweet! By the way, I am selling a 1962 Vespa GS MK1 on ebay to fund the G/S build if any one is interested
Yep, good eye! Yours should ship next Tuesday. This was a fun project, and I would be happy to do another run. I already have two people on a list for the 4860s. There is one remaining 50mm assembly that is not spoken for.
Is that remaining 50mm set still available? If yes, I'll take it. If not, please add me to the list for one 50mm, black, with stem and nut. Thanks! Jeff
No hard update on the bolts yet, I called again this morning and was told that KTM had just updated their computer system, so they cannot get status info right now. He is supposed to call me back as soon as he can check the status, I will update as soon as I know something. Really hoping they are on the way........I'm sure you all are as well.... As of right now, all of the sets are spoken for. If that changes, I will let you know...but I have also added you to the list for the next run.
If anyone bails or there is an extra set please let me know... I'd be happy with either but likely 48mm I think... thanks
I just got confirmation that the bolts are shipping today! They will arrive here on the 21st, the only problem is I will be out of town that week for T-Day, so the triples will ship on the 28th when I return. Thanks everyone for you patience with this wait.
Thanks for the update Guy! BTW - Do you have any of the 50mm triples that aren't spoken for? If so pm me... I might be interested in another set.
All of the clamps from this batch are spoken for, but I have received a lot of interest about starting another run. If you would like, I can add your name to that list (which is growing rather quickly.)
My current setup in my G/S is a Marzocchi Magnum 50 (from a Husky WR360) in a KTM triple (for WP Extreme) with the Roemerteam stem fitted for BMW. The fork works great (with new bottom valves, higher rate springs, bushings and seals) but the offset of 16mm of the triple is killing me in technical passages. The steering angle is too limitted even with some grinding-off anddents in the tank. So an offset of 38mm and the bolts of the triple in front is the way to go for me. Hope my post will encourage more to join the second run, so I can change the triple during winter time. Best Regards Stefan from Avignon Dear Guy I will PM you
The bolts were waiting for me when I got into the shop this morning, finally!!!!! I'm packaging the triples, they will all ship in the next day or two. Thanks everyone for your patience with the backordered bits!! Stefan, I will reply to your PM.
