Klim Dakar Pants

I'm was checking out a pair of these pants in my local bike shop. How cold can these pants stand up to? I'm looking for something I will be comfortable in from 10-50 degrees.

Maybe ,with some wind block fleece .

I just bought a pair from an inmate a couple of weeks ago. These should work perfect for that temp range as long as your talking Fahrenheit. I live at 8500 feet in Colorado; I went for a ride a few days ago when it was 20 degrees. I wore smart wool long underwear, a tshirt, and a insulated riding jacket, and was fine. Try them on with some light fleece first.

concur, the big patches of mesh in the crotch flow a ton of air.. I have worn mine down to the high 30's, but I bought some Traverse pants for anything colder than that.

I have a pair that I have been wearing for three or four seasons now. They seem plenty durable. They vent well enough in the summer when you open the front vents. With a pair of long johns, and the zippers closed they do fine in colder weather as well. From a ride back in early December:

+1, I've got the same combo. You'll need a liner of sorts.

+1 on the crotch mesh flows a ton of air.

Yup,same here. The breeze through the Dakar mesh sections is real noticeable. Traverse pants are wind/waterproof.
Ive got a badlands jacket on the way,nice stuff.

I've got the Dakar pants and as was mentioned they are not wind and waterproof, but great for warm weather. I also have the Badlands Jacket and pants which have more armor and are Gore-Tex, but much more expensive. :eek1 If you don't have to ride through rain the Dakar with an underlayer is a nice combo and currently an even greater price.

I have a pair...they are great summer pants. On a chillly morning that wind blows right through the fabric crotch.

Winter pants with air mesh in the crotch, now THAT's an ADVENTURE !

Just started researching Klim pants, is it possible to get knee armor in the pant? Do they have interior pockets for armor?

There is a thread about knee armor somewhere . I tried ,but it could be better . I ended up getting Thor knee armor .There is more than enough room to wear the pants over the armor .

Yes there is room. it alittle small but there are a few ones that work.

I got a pair to for my dirt riding/knee brace set up. Good for that. They fit over M/C type boots and over Astrik knee braces which is what I got them for.. Really great pants for the price.

A mesh crotch that would be ok down to 10 degrees, are you guys nuts??

I would not have any mesh gear for temperatures down that low.

I bought Dakar pants 2 years ago. They are well ventilated summer pants.

How do you like the Badlands jacket ? Is KLIM that good to justify over $800 for this jacket ? I'm thinking about it but it better be really good for that much. I have a Aerostitch Darien that is getting pretty worn and looking for replacement. Tell me about the Badlands ?
