I think I hit my personal best today, although it wasn't much.
What's the biggest thing/ most stuff you've carried on a scoot?

    Passengers not included. :evil

Besides myself, the milk crate and usual hand tools that I carry on the Elite - once I bought a flat of 24 bottles of water and strapped it to the TOP of the milk crate.:huh

Very twitchy handling during the trip home. I'll use the beater Miata for that errand next time.:1drink

A couple hefty-bags full of clothes for Goodwill. One on the back, one on the floorboard.

I was feeling pretty smug about it but won't be doing it again. :lol3

    I've got a pic somewhere I'll post.

For the short trip to the grocery store I've loaded it pretty well on the back of the seat, hung several bags from the hook, and balanced the 24-pack of coke on the floorboard. About a week's worth of groceries. Usually one eyeball on one splitting bag allllll the way home. :yikes

That's a pretty good load, I've carried an ATV floor jack on my Silver Stella.

I strapped a good size watermelon on the back of my 9. But nothing beats what I saw in China last month. A scooter carrying at least two dozen chickens and another carrying a large pig !

at the races you see people with 4-6 17" wheels and 10 gal of gas on scooters all the time. I saw a guy come in the front gate with 120# of ice and I don't know how many bags of groc on a zuma. (the supermarket was only about 2 or 3 miles from the track. I may have shot a picture of that, I will look it was back in 2001.

The story is he had asked me to use my truck. It was parked in and had a tent behind it. So I offerd my elite 80. He said he had a zuma and hadn't even considered it. I was thinking about 3 or 4 trips.

When I opened my Scooter repair shop, I put every cent I had into it. Didn't even have a truck.
I would carry the tanks(one at a time)of my welding outfit to the welding suppy for refills on my run-around Spree. Not sure what size they were, but they were about three feet tall and could really get the single downtube frame of that Spree a flex'in.

Went on a trip last spring. Did almost 3,100 miles on my scoot.

On the seat behind me: Tent, kermit chair, therm-a-rest and sleeping
    bag.

In the trunk: maps, toolkit and personal gear

Under the seat: camping gear, clothes and other stuff.

As much weight as I have ever carried riding by myself.

    Stock Honda Ruckus...

I made the mistake of stopping by Costco on the scoot one day after hitting the liquor store (this is Utah and I had picked up a few bottles from the lovely state run monopoly purveyor of tasty beverages).

40 lb bag of dog food on the floor board.
Several bags of produce/dairy/groceries tucked underneath- in addition to the bottles of booze.
and to top it all off...a new push broom sticking out of the back.
I carry bungee cords and a lightweight nylon sack that hooks underneath the seat.

I kept getting strange looks from über moms in MAV's (Mormon Assault Vehicles- aka minivans full of screaming ankle biters) all the way from the Costco parking lot to my home...almost as if I had chickens, pigs, goats or a small family strapped to the thing.
