I'm sure you already have it Joel, payment sent yesterday. Bizz should have her payment in shortly. :freaky

Just so everyone knows I'll be out there for the week, probably arriving Monday night. I have a few banditio's that will be trailing us, about 5-8 other peeps. If you want to come early make your own camp arrangements, coordinate with Joel, but book directly with Paniment Springs. Come by and say hello! :clap :freaky

I'm in for this one! If Johngil can't get off, I think you (Chris) should volunteer to lead us!

I have gotten a few pm's about my little ride on Thursday from peeps that are worried they won't arrive in time for the ride or wanting to do it earlier. Since the ride is but one of many, others must have the same questions/concerns about other group rides. So here is my take on the matter; disclaimer, take it for what it is worth....those that have been around me at these events know I have the attention span of a hamster and the riding ability of a circus monkey :deal.

Group rides are great. You get to ride with people you otherwise wouldn't meet, you build friendships, you have a lot of help, you don't have to worry too much about route planning and if you are lucky enough to be around me; motorcycle mayhem photos are plentiful!

On the other side of the coin there has never beena time that I haven't been able to strike out on an exploration if I miss a group ride. There are 200 people at this event and many of them have a lot of experience in DV. Walk around the camp and mingle. Chances are there is someone or group of someones that are going to ride somewhere you have a hankerin to go. Barring that, you can also look at some maps, download routes from the first page or just follow your front wheel to your destination. However, if you do the latter, find a rider or two that want to go also....safety in numbers.

Either way, you will have fun. The usual disclaimer about being self sufficient applies to both types of explorations...carry own tubes, parts/tools, water, etc... Most importantly, let someone know where you are going so we can mount a recovery/search effort if you fail to show back up at camp...

I'd be in if it wasn't full already. I'll bet there would be enough interest to have 2 groups.

I am in for an RV dry camp. There are 2 guys with a pickup sharing the spot and staying in the RV . I am little vague on what the fee would be for their stay.
    Thanks for any clarification.

    Added you on Paul.

Geez, that thing filled up fast. I opened up to 20, we'll just split it on departure. We'll need another ride leader and sweep. We can divide up by bike type, skill, buddies, etc.
Can put us at the mine and trams together, will be fun. Lunch at the tram cabin!!
