A group of us rode to Kingston this morning and escorted our friends home. It was an honour to be one of them.

And most importantly I want to pass on my sincerest thoughts of kindness and support to his family. Nothing can dull this, but know we're all here.

    Thanks Fin.

    ...and.....

Thanks to all who rode out to meet us this morning. It meant a lot and and I know that Dave would have loved to have seen so many of his friends riding together.........even without roost and wheelies....

    FRIENDS OF DAVE MORRISON:

I thought it would be great to collect images from everyone and make a photo book for Margaret and the kids. There are so many pictures from events that I'm sure they've never seen, or only in passing on ADV pages.
Please email images to me - vespa(at)cogeco.ca with DAVE in the subject line

Nancy and I wish to extend our condolences to Dave’s friends and family.
We were fortunate to meet Dave at the NOFAR rally at Dan’s this spring.
DRCOOL was definitely a very cool guy.
His untimely passing is very sad news.
    Respectfully

Terrible news... I had the pleasure of meeting Dave a few times, he always seemed to be enjoying life to its fullest extent. Sorry to see him gone, heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

The true mark of a man is the great memories that he leaves behind for his loved ones and friends, it seems Dave accomplished this one in spades.

    I am sooooo sad.
Dave, some of my first and my most memorable rides were with you.
You always had such an incredible love for life, and an amazing positive effect on everyone lucky enough to know you.

    Sincere condolences to the family.

Since hearing the news Thursday afternoon it has been hard to concentrate. My thoughts have been with Margaret and the family as well as the riders with him. I have been voraciously following Adam, Scott and Dave's adventure on Facebook, what a devastating end.

Oh no, I only just saw this...

I never met Dave but a few years ago I was working at the U of T for a few months and when he found out I was in his area he invited me out for what I think was a regular weekly meeting of inmates/bike enthusiasts/riders. He made a point of telling me that the beer was on him and I thought that it was pretty cool that he'd make that invitation. Because I'm a curmudgeonly idiot I didn't take him up on it but I always knew that I did the wrong thing. In the back of my mind I guess I always told myself, "next time". I guess that that time won't come, now.

Thanks again for your kind and generous invitation Dave, and sincere condolences to friends and family.

Although I haven't known Dave for long I feel privileged for opportunities I had to ride and laugh with him. A devastating loss to all who knew him.:cry

As I rode today he was on my mind almost constantly.

In the dark tonight a moose suddenly appeared on the road in front of me.
With front and rear tires squealing down the pavement I braced for impact only to see the moose jump ahead at the last second like he got kicked hard in the ass, allowing me pass with inches to spare.

I know who kicked him in the ass.
    Thanks Dave. :freaky

I met Dave last fall and immediately felt as though I’d known him for a very long time. Somehow, he touched my soul and I am deeply saddened by his passing.
Dave was a great rider and a good man. I was always happy to hear that Dave would be on any given ride we shared and I felt privileged to be with him. The memory of his contagious smile, generosity and companionship will be with me forever.
    I will miss you DrCool.

I've been going through some older photos and found these from the 1st time Drcool came to Muskoka to ride the ice with me.

He looks a little cramped...he still has the low seat on the bike. I could still barely touch the ground and he makes it look like a minibike :lol3

He even made a set of tires for Shayne!!!
Great dad! Shayne put in more laps than Dave and myself combined!
