Ah yes Harlan Ky.. We remember it well

I believe that's where we first met...although I was geared up and on the bike just making a loop of the upper levels before leaving Sat Morning. Didn't get back from dinner until after dark and never made it up to the other levels that Friday night.

I think you might be right..
The upper was well Ruff at times .. But HB kept taking his Valk up and down it.. Sat night we stayed at the bottom..
It was to rain that night and HB said the mud coming off the mountain would be treacherous for the Valk..

Well at least y'all camped again the next night....Rick took a crew to the Holiday Inn on Saturday, didn't he? There was a pretty good sized group hanging out on the lower level Fri night though...and Rick did ride down and hang out with us for awhile, that's how I learned y'all were hiding up there!

Yes he did.... The campground really wasn't that bad...
Just not enough bathhouse,for all and NOT convenient,for the upper group..
But the views at the top was great !!
MonkeyFez walked all the way to the top to meet us ...

That was the first time I'd meet Fez or Pansy too...since then I have spent nights in both of their homes while traveling on the bike.

My first ADV gathering. That was a fun trip. 3 days worth of riding in two days, two nights worth of partying in one night. Did you really go to work the next day?

Super fun 'weekend' especially taking different back roads all the way there and back!

I was working 2nd shift with Fri-Sat off at the time so I probably slept in on Sunday before going to work that afternoon.

Yes that's right that was also the first time I met Pansy...

Yeah... I've burned out a couple of camp fires with him. He was up early and gone. Me...Not so much. :huh

Yeah, I guess I don't practice enough.

Topped off the leaky radiator on the Strom today and went out after the SC Tag since it looked like the rain would hold off until overnight.


First up was a racing a train.

Took some unfamiliar back roads through the Sumter NF....that means new shacks.

Had a thin overcast with challenging light most of the afternoon....but don't forget to wave at the cows!
















Seen what looked like an old schoolhouse in somebody's back yard...more bad light.
