Is there a way to "like" or "dislike" a post with a thumb up or down type icon without having to quote or repost someone elses post? there are so many picture reposts in some threads it is hard to follow. I would like to show apreciation for some photos and comments but I don't want to crowd the thread.
Something simular to Facebook or Yahoo answers. (yea right, like you don't haunt them also) Quick , easy ,to the point.
    Thanks G

Why? Is there anything better than seeing the same photo quoted 10 times in a row?

Type a colon, then the text thumb without any space between the colon and the letters.

It's a lot faster than opening a menu and then finding/clicking on a symbol.

You can insert it any place that's needed

It's a good idea, but there aren't any good implementations for forum software, apart from "karma points" etc.; but systems like that end up as a popularity contest soon.

Maybe the next generation of vBulletin will have options for this.
