Just after sunset, and you can just see the green from the aurora starting to show! Even the fish flies lined up on the bike to watch the light show!

When you work on your bike until 2:00 in the afternoon, then ride 280 miles to get a new rear tire, after which you sit in a restaurant BS'ing with a fellow inmate until 11:00 PM, it means the 280 miles back home will be in the wee, COLD, hours of the morning. But it's all worthwhile as you get to watch the first rays of the sun hitting surrounding mountains. This is Mt Blackburn in the Wrangell Mts of Alaska, from about 80 miles away, taken at 3:50 AM.
