It will continue to be a mess until Lucchino gets the boot. Does Henry have the sack for it?

Farrell might be able to handle Larry- he's had some time with the organization, although that was with Theo at GM...

    :cry

Now you have to find another player to fall in love with,
deluding yourself that he cares about you and your fair city
0.00000000001% as much as you care about him.

    :cry

I don't "fall in love" with ball players. You must have me confused with someone else.

    I suffer no such dilusions.

I'm not so sure. Since he was run out of town by Bobby V, much to everyone's dismay, and then went to another division, he may not get the same reception as say, Johnny Damon, who hopped the fence.

He's just a joe, tryin' to make a livin' at this point. At 34 YO and putting up the lowest numbers of his career last season, he'll fill a hole in the yanks' lineup. barely. Hell, he'll probably be better than A-Roid :D

Rich, in all the years we have slanged each other over the years, your team showed some real class last night.

    SWEET CAROLINE, indeed.

And by some miracle both teams are at the top of the AL East.
BTW I can't remember if the Sox did anything post 9/11 but I know the Patriots did stuff. My mom's neighbors and step-brothers friend played for the Patriots Joe Andruzzi. His brothers were fireman on 9/11 and they did a ceremonial coin toss their first game back. Maybe it was more touching and memorable to me since i knew them, and it was "my" city that was attacked.
