The guy I kennel my dogs with trains Belgian Malinois for police work. Fine dogs for sure, but I would not want to be on the receiving end of a bite from one:eek1

Glad you're mostly in one piece.

It's been a while since I've been able to get out of the house and go for a ride, so this morning I decided to go. I forgot how great it is! I left about 7, got some breakfast at the Waffle House and headed south down the Trace. It was beautiful! Cool, fresh air, beautiful fall colors. I took a side trip on Midway Rd. just north of Rocky Springs. Midway to Hickory Ridge to Ben Richey Rd. It was a great little ride this morning!

We went to Bethel ATV Trails, yesterday. It has a 5$ fee per rider. Trails are split into 2 trails, North and South. Each trail is approx. 20 miles, give or take a mile. Both trails are one way. The North trail is built for 4 wheeelers and motorcycles. It is the newest of the two trails, and tighter. More motorcycles on this trail. The South trail is also built for 4 wheelers and motorcycles. This trail is more 4 wheeler freindly. Its not as tight, but more sandy, which can be tricky, when not paying attention. The South trail is a good warm up for any rider. Each loop took us 2 to 2 1/2 hours. It was slow but it was my son's first real seat time on the XR80.
It was a great day of ridin. There were many riders. Many KTM 250's, CR 250's, and 2 XT225 Dual Sports, a few 4 wheelers, not enough to mention.
There also is Bethel Motorcycle Trail, which we did not ride, but was told by many it was very tight, and single trac. Not the ride for the leisure rider.
    Here are a few pics:

This was taken after finishing the North loop, 19.4 miles.

At the beginning of the South trail, half a mile in, stopped for a RR break.
Completely confident on the XR80, my son asked to scout ahead. While I stretched a bit. Go ahead, I said.[IMG]
Miss judged this rut! My scout was leading, and didn't notice. I played catch up, for awhile.

Here is the biggest water crossing on both trails. We stopped and looked it over first. It was heavy brush on either side, and very soppy wet. Decided straight down the middle was the best way. I had already came through, had to prove it could be done, first.

Here we can see the dirt road leading to the Trailhead. But, the trail wound around for another mile, or so.

40 miles of trails, and my son says he enjoyed the whole day. Mission accomplished. I enjoyed the day as well.
