So, who is in for Sunday Nov 2? We can do SquallyWallys gravel route east to Indiana. The weather looks good according to weather.com for what that's worth.

SquallyWally, are you gonna be our tour guide? Where do we meet and at what time?

It makes me no difference, say around 9 to 10am, wherever we decide to meet?

    Does anyone know Squallys route?

If not, I know of some pretty good stuff south and west of Mahomet. I could lay out 75 to 150 miles. I am sure CATGS has some shortcuts down there as well. There is a little gravel, a little farmer two track, and some twistys west of Mahomet.

If we ride out of Mahomet, we could meet at McDonalds on 150, east of Mahomet at 9ish and hit the road at 10am?

The only good riding I know east of champaign, is all the way into Indiana, but then it does tend to get good if you stay around the wabash river.

West and south of Mahomet, there is a little gravel and two track. I can lay out a decent loop if anyone is interested.

    Everyone speak up please!

OK, I will take the lead here. McDonalds on 150, just east of Mahomet, Sunday at 9am for breakfast. We can hit the road at 10am. We can go west and then south of Monticello and work our way back to Mahomet. It will probably be around 100 miles.

Sorry gang, been busy with finishing basement and hadn't had much time to get online.

I can ride Nov 2. The little route to Walnut point is ok .

I also have a nice bridge country tour that goes as far as Greencastle. It is a couple hundred miles plus... and can be easliy done in a full day. I usually take my jetboil and cook hotdogs under the bridge in Mansfield for lunch. Also fun to look at the v-1 buzz bomb on display at Greencastle, IN

Be Happy to lead a tour or just as happy to follow someone on another.

As posted before, I am game for either option,

There isn't a nice place for breakfast to meet at over here unless we meet in CU. Otherwise I will be at the McD's at 9. Don't for get to set the clock back Sat nite.

Let's do my ride Sunday and Squallys next time! Squally should get of the basement more often...:rofl At the least we will all make new riding buddies. CATGS probably knows of some good stuff down around Monticello as well.

Bring your chest protector, my 690 throws big rocks and I like to play Dakar racer as well.

    See you all Sunday.

Today, SquallyWally(KLR-650) William42(V-Strom 650) PaulRN(KTM990) CATGS(KTM640A), Cats buddy - not sure of his ADV name(BMW1200GSa) and myself(KTM690E) went for a decent ride. We had excellent weather as well. We went south of Mahomet, then west thru DeLand, down by Allerton Park, south of Monticello, then east back to Mahomet. I clocked 112 miles total. Some of the guys bailed earlier. I think we rode every gravel road and farmer tow-track in Piatt county. At least all the ones I know of. I call it my Piatt County - Dakar loop. Everyone seemed to have a good time and I showed them roads they had never ridden before.

Next time we may head southeast into Indiana in search of hills and more corners.

It was nice to meet everyone as well.

    Looking forward to next time.

The rest of you guys need to join the next ride as well.
