Work took me to the Boston area this week... was in a working meeting 30 miles south of Boylston St. when the bombs went off. My hometown is Fall River, MA... about 50 miles south of Boston. I picked a hotel around here so I could pig out on seafood and visit with family after work.

I am shocked and saddened by the senseless and cowardly attack... especially upsetting is that an 8 year old boy was one of the 3 that lost their lives.

Not to make light of the situation, but... life does go on. And so, to add a bit of yang to the otherwise bitter yin, I popped into the Vanson Leathers Factory that just happens to be located in the city of my birth...



I really have all the riding gear I need, but have been looking for a "casual" leather... and found it:





Didn't take me too long after trying it on to whip out the old credit card, either...



Of course, spending serious scratch makes me hungry, so I had to stop in for lunch at my all-time favorite seafood place: The Liberal Club in Fall River, MA...

Looks more like trials than trails. Trailering my KLR out there to do some riding this summer. When do you guys think all the high passes around Gunnison will be open given the heavy late snow falls?

Depends on the pass. Southern Colo is pretty dry.

Kinda.. had to use the straddle-walk to get the rear tire up the last bit. Thought about going back for another try, but it was getting dark and I was afraid I may still have more snow patches.

Started with the goal of putting all my recent cardio to use on a there-n-back timed run. Then got down to the bottom and found virgin snowpack. Things slowed down a bit here.

We may have to settle on a definition of rideable, but I doubt the gulch will melt off until mid-May.

Went camping last weekend.

No idea how he gets his wingsuit on with balls that big.

Alltime best adventure sport video. Will show that to my wife and tell her not to worry about me riding my bike cause I could want to do something like that.

Awwwww....too cute! Aussie's are the best, ESPECIALLY, when they ride motorcycles!

We went out and rode in the snow for a while today. She is very smart at 3 years old.

It was a whopping 23&#730; here today, with a breeze coming right off the lake it made for a fun day of tagging pike!


But man I like being out of the classroom!


Butt damn, momma nature needs to realize it is spring time!
