Anyone watching it? I started this season and find it entertaining, if for no other reason than motorcycles on TV. Most of the bikes are pretty cool and the latest was done by an inmate. (he had an ADV sticker on the KTM donor bike)

I'm sure some will pick the show apart, but it's WAY better than the tuttles.

Oh, BTW, it's on the "Velocity" channel.

I watched all the episodes last season. In my opinion, the show devotes too much time to interviews and not quite enough to the actual bikes. I watch it anyway.

What did you think of the steam punk ktm?

    Honestly, I didn't "get it".

I kind of enjoy the show, but what they did to that very very nice 640 Adventure was horrible. Then the brakes locked up. I prefer it when they find some junker and make it into something nice. Not when they take something nice and ruin it:D The Boz brothers did not ride the KTM, but I can see where they are a little cautious riding these bikes. You are never quite sure how the build quality is.

If you want entertainment, look up Ichiban Moto vids on Youtube.

    Epic DIY cafe racer build.

...when Katee Sackhoff said, "I'm gonna make this bike my bitch!"

That's some good TV right there.

Ichiban moto, yeah, I just looked. Hmmm...
A guy building a cafe from a Japanese bike and he owns no metric wrenches. But you can use a cresent wrench and if you don't have one , well , vice grips work.Yea !
Episode 2. Let's get rid of the giant rectangular tail-light and replace it with this equally large round tail-light. For a mounting bracket lets bend a 90 in a piece of hardware store aluminum and drill some holes . Oh, if you have a powerdrill , that would be great, I'm drilling with this brace and bits , the way my grandpappy would have.
Hot tip of the day colored zip-tyes are way stronger than clear or black!

Great stuff, I've learned so much.
    The guy seems sincere.

I checked out a few of the videos and they were horrible. Dozens of rookie mistakes...

What he said. I would expect the first step would be to strip the whole bike down to the frame and procede from there. But what do i know? Lol

That's the only episode I've seen. Fuckin horrible.

You want to destroy a mid 70's CB350? Fine. There's hundreds of thousands of them out there and they are pretty mediocre performance by today's standards.

But to take an Austrian masterpiece and "customize" it to the point that it can't even go down the road? Disgusting.

I caught the last 2 episodes and set it up for a series recording on my DVR. I agree they spend too much time on interviews and such and not enough on talking about the bikes. But, with the lack of anything motorcycle related on TV here, it gives me a little something to watch.

I agree that the KTM makeover was terrible. Such a cool bike and the makeover didn't do it for me at all. But hey, at least he conned his wife into working on bikes with him! :D

Hey I didn't say the build was any good, only that it's entertaining! :D
In a "he didn't just do that did he?" kind of way.

He sets the hook later in the series, the guy is a carb tuning guru...

Ya' got to be kidding me.

This guy takes a Yamaha XS500 (NOT a 1977 model, no matter what he says- my first bike was an 1977 XS500D) that was butchered and makes it look like even worse shit.

Episode 2- taillight bracket will last about 5 miles until a few bumps in the road (thankfully!) break that cheesy aluminum and the POC taillight heads for the weeds.

Zip tie the plate on? WTF. And good tip on using colored ties- much stronger :lol3 Oh yeah- good thing he put tape over the plate numbers so one of us can't find the bike and steal it. :rofl

But wait a minute....I have to check ebay and scoop up all the excellent items he removed and is selling. Maybe I can buy some and turn my ride into a bigger piece of shit than what he could.
