    If you visited the Island of Ireland, where should you go and what would you see?

    I have been riding all over the island but there must be a few places I have missed.

    Any ideas?

    If you come here go to........

    Ride the The Mourne Mountains,
    a granite mountain range located in County Down in the south-east of Northern Ireland,
    are among the most famous of the mountains in the country.

    Holy Crap! That breakfast should come wtih a side of Lipitor and a defibrillator! :dg Great late-night post-pub food.

    My "peeps" are Ulster Scots, so Belfast and the surrounding areas are high on my "must do" list. The Sons of Anarchy episodes set in Belfast really piqued my interest in going over and renting a bike for a few days.

    Torrs Head Road or some such name in Antrim crawls along the cliffs and ocean. Awesome road, unfortunately it was storming when I was on it, so I was more concerned about going over the side.

    In '02 we honeymooned there as well, only mostly down southwestish.

    Had a lovely time even if it rained everyday.

    Having done it extensively over the last few years I'd recommend;

    1. West Cork. Pretty much anywhere in West Cork. The road out to sheeps head is a good one, albeit a single track, windy, grass growing in the middle kind of road.

    2. The ring of Kerry. All of it. Stopping for pancakes in Strawberry Fields (on the road past Barphinny lake at Molls Gap). Making sure to take in the Gap of Dunloe, Connor Pass and Valentia Island.

    3. Donegal coast including a stop up at Malin head.

    West Cork & Kerry are my favorites.
