I was going though some of my stuff this weekend. Here is a CZ jersey logo that came from the factory in the late 60's early 70's.

It is for sale. It is a cotton jersey and still has mud on it from Carlsbad. It is the real deal. I may see if Tom White wants it for his museum.

Found this photo, This is my buddy Rich. He just turned 70. This is from the legendary Deadmans Point here in Socal. Rocket Rex and a whole lot of the fast guys raced there. 1969 ish?

Here he is 40+ years later a month ago. Racing a Deltaco Alpina of all things. He ain't right. He just wanted to see the checkered flag one more time. He is a member of my club, Hilltoppers MC

Being a Honda 4 stroke rider in the swarm of yellow bees back then made you appreciate them even more. It was a tortoise and hare story for me. The YZs, TMs and RMs would mop up on me and my thumper around a track but across a corn field they had no chance when I hit fifth I'd just mope on past and bury them in that 4 stroke rooster tail that never ends. The interesting part of the story on my two bikes, as much as they look alike, is this:

Caught a pic of yourself in the tach. I really need to get busy on my TS185.

[IMG] Been thinking about selling the Penton to possibly fund a Wee or a 955i Tiger.

Ok, do any of your SoCal guys remember this outfit?
Is any part of the business still on going?

I don't remember them. I did a quick google search for GEMCo in Santa Fe Springs and came up with this:

It's always cool to me how cottage industries pop up to make specialty items like this, then vanish just as quickly.

I have 3 pairs of these, and the first set only lasted a couple of hours ebay. I must have been too cheap.............:baldy

My brother-in-law had a 250 Motosport, my sister (his wife) had an orange SL100.
That 100 was my first bike when I assumed it from my sis.
There's some pics somewhere in the family of those bikes.

Flug, if you ever see Jack again, ask him about the time he raced my brother-in-law's 250 at the local stock car track. :rofl

I rebuilt a set of forks for an old buddy of mine this week with new seals and internal cleansing. He showed up with a 36 pack of adult beverages and this in a shadow box frame.

This is the last shirt made out of 144 originals. Deadmans is still where it was but nothing has been done with it. I believe that Rocket Rex Staten still owns the property. It is near Apple Valley CA.

I only saw him race once. He ran away with both open moto's at the St. Peters Trans AM qualifier in I think it was '74? He was from Texas if I remember right. He was on fire that day! Then he didn't make it to the actual Trans AM later that same year. That same year DeCoster won both 500 moto's and Jimmy Ellis won the 250 overall at the Trans AM itself. DeCoster was butter smooth. I read in an interview that St. Peters was then his favorite American MX track. It was one bad ass track!
