Just scored this bike today! She's got a long way to go, but came with a bunch of nice period accessories. Might make a nice desert sled . . . :augie

What were they thinking when they bolted that headlight on? Cool bike , I'm jealous. All they old Triumphs around here are either cut up and hardtailed or 10K. :cry

That's one of those "period accesories". It might even be a Lucas lamp.

That bike is nearly complete. I'd find the pieces to put it back to stock.

What's the scoop on the Connolly cams badge and the Q air box ? Top secret race stuff?

Connolly made high performance cams back in the day in Portland, this bike has them, hence the badge.

The "Q" filter is an early air box/filter that was common on desert sleds and dirt track bikes . . . I think they were made in New Mexico, but information is even more scarce than the filters themselves. Basically, it's made for off road bikes and does a much better job of filtering in dirty environments.

It's a complete motorcycle (functionally), but not much original remains. Tank, fenders, seat, case cover, air cleaner, bars, headlight, speedo, rear wheel and a bunch of other items are wrong + lots missing. It would require a lot of searching and $ to get it back to stock.

Not running at the moment. The claim is that it was running three months ago, then he removed the timing cover to show someone the lightened gears and never timed it after that . . . OK. :dunno

I'll have time to static time it and give her a try on Saturday. Wish me luck!

Eric, seriously, that bike has a great look, Especially with those period correct performance mods and badging. I wouldn't go stock either. Some kind of racer. You already have the cool Triumph Desert Racer....how about a cool dirt or flat tracker now...start building your stable. Would be cool to see both at the One Show next year.

Or maybe an Evel Kneival themed jump bike!! Because before he went with Harley's, he was jumping Triumphs!!
