Hi Pam...that's correct. Saint John is the 3rd most foggiest city in the summer. That's why we went in June, although still quite cold...but the southerlies have yet to come a-blowin' here over the frigid waters of the Atlantic and Bay so it's crystal clear here although today in Digby, Nova Scotia they got hit with a heat wave of--23C--:knary

Man! those scallops are like hockey pucks....but look delicious for sure....as did the lobster roll and clams...everything seems to be supersized from what we get here in Flatistan....I've always wanted to go to that area of the world since reading Farley Mowatt's books about the Newfies....so glad to visit vicariously via your trip....
You guys are my heroes for sure....and your reports are like an odyssey voyage.....thank you so much.

I was hoping you and Sharon would find that particular establishment in Digby! I did the same ferry to Digby in 2008 with some friends. We had lunch in that diner and the scallops convinced us to swear off beef and poultry for the duration of our visit! When we finally had a lobster dinner on PEI it was a disappointment -- the scallops were that good!

    I've lovin' this ride report!

Man, you guys are headed into the vast wilderness from the looks of it. I have a map paired with your blog so I can see where you are easily and it looks like you have some long uncivilized areas to truck through....
Should be fun though, and looking forward to following your trek. Nice country though and well worth the trip.

    Koifarm---

Would you be able to post a "map" of their travels? I'm looking at a rand/mcnally map and it is a piece of you know what! But don't bother if it is a chore...

I can try to google and see if I can find a map with a bird's eye view rather than a close up...

Sharon...great pics there as always and Elmer, keep your hands on the bars and watch out for road critters...

Enjoying the "ride" with you. Thanks.
