I love Israel. If I could take my wolf there I'd love to make it my home. I have nothing but respect for Israelis.

I'd like to go back some day and maybe do a camping ride. Spend some nights in the desert maybe find an event or two and experience part of the ancient culture, feel the land and the spirits wrote of in the Torah and Bible and yes even the Quran. But I don't want to pitch camp and wake up to some disgruntled Palestinian nomad Arab tribe tying my gal up for transport to the slave block! :eek1

    :lol3

I'm the only one that gets to tie her up :deal

If you make it to America route 66 is one way. Ya might try the Tran America Trail, theres a few threads about that around. Plenty of riding opportunites here. Try and see both coasts and the Rocky Mountains. There is a thread around here that has members who are willing to let you pitch a tent at their place. Might be a good way to see America and meet good friends.

Thank you for the last replays.
This is may not be New-Zealand, but the next pictures tell the story of a great trip we did a month ago to Eilat, riding via road 10 which is the road that goes just on the border with Egypt. After few posts showing the greenery of Israel, it's the time to go back for the desert.

This is Everybody! From left to right:
Reut with her new short haircut, me, Avi, Ortal and Itiel.

Our first stop was in Sde-Boker - a far flung sattlement, laying on the cliif above Zin river. In this place David Ben Gurion - Israel prime minister, is burried.

From Sde-Boker we continue riding south for another 50KM down to Mizpe-Ramon for equipping oneself. The hit was intense and water runnung out.
We toke the 171 - a narrow deserted road going west to mount Harif.

As we came to the border, we passed a military control point and went on road 10 - THE road! This road goes south for the next 200KM. No fuel stations, no junctions, no any human built element except the road itself.

200 meters on the right lays Egypt, with it's military check points along the way. Egyptian soldiers waving for goodbye as we pass them, and we wave back.
After 180KM of nothing, the road cheerfully ended.

    stay tuned, more soon.

Halotza Agor and Nitzana Sand dunes, We rode a 200Km offroad round trip in this region which is where road 10 that "Goride" posted pics from goes thorugh ,all sand dunes hill climbs and exhausting pyhsical effort keeping the bike with the rubber side down, but was a great fun.

Thank you Merkado for the pics.

As we ended riding road 10, an obligated coffee break toke place on the peak of mount Hizkiyahu. Sunset started, so we
enjoyed the beautiful colors of the sky and the views from the peak.

The hit was intense, we were all tired and thirsty, hungry, and butt hurted.

We continued Amram pillars. We rode about 10KM gravel in the dark night until we reached the night camping area.

while men made fire and raised the tents, women made food!

at about 1AM a bright moon raised. We wanted to some walking around, but we all were too tired for that. At 3AM the land
was shinning by the moon as it was day.

Early morning ride before anyone awakes then back home for a cupa with wife

Note that the DR800 is Clean its always the boss and loves to roost the little bikes:evil I will say that it was harder to get it up that hill though which the NX easily climbed ( big bikes need big tires in the sand)
