The very first day of a new journey of yours... ...a journey to somewhere great, through roads you've never taken before. you get to feel excited with any little bit of everything.Unravelling in front of your eyes, after that last corner of the unpaved road you've been travelling for quite a long time now,is once again today a view that makes you wanna stop and leave his sight lost. One can totally forget his destination when his soul is travelling. One can lose track of time... Sometimes I think my mind "travels" way too much... Thoughts. So many of them. Maybe that friend of mine was right... Maybe I think too much. Wait a second!Who says that thinking can or should be quantified? Shit!... ...I'm doing it again. I've always thought of myself as a free-spirit kinda guy. Tried many times to taint my thoughts. Tried many times to taint my mind from "travelling".Really did. Never succeded. Why should one even try, though? To hell with that! I will just keep travelling... or at least day-tripping...
This thread is gonna be some sort of a small-trip-report mainly from Greece (or whichever place I end up spending parts of my life). I'm both into off-road riding and photography so I'll try and give an idea of what I see to the community here mainly through my lens. Posting may come slowly but I will make sure I give a little something every time I take a ride to a place worth mentioning. Safe riding to all.
Today's ride was to one of the most northwest points of Greece. Only fishermen and sea here. <a href="http://s715.photobucket.com/user/mead5600/media/Daytripping/MAP.png.html" target="_blank"><img src="https://www.advrider.com/advrider-photobucket-images/images/m/mead5600_Daytripping_MAP.png" border="0" alt=" photo MAP.png"/></a> There is no real road taking you to that beach so you have to take a dirt road many km towards the Greece-Albania borders and then ride the beach.
Whether has been quite crappy last five days.It has been raining cats and dogs as you guys say.Or it has been raining chairs as we say in Greece... As a result of this...NO ride.Only to work and back! But at least the water from the rain washed the sea away from my bike! Actually that bike is not exactly mine, but that is a rather long story for later...( no i didn't steal it ) Weekend is approaching,though...
It is always interesting to see the wold through the eyes of others. Thanks for sharing your take on things along the tracks you have been cutting.
I'll try to get out more often.I'm thinking of this thread more like a photo-gallery of what I see around me while riding. Saw you are living in Thailand!Awesome scenery you guys must have down there... Chears, Angelos
Yesterday it was cloudy and so I only managed to do like 40km before it started raining... I once again rode around where I used to hang out a lot when a teenager on my DT125 dirt bike... Funny thing is that I used to ride that road every two weeks or even more back then but I had never noticed this until now...It has to be some leftover from the time Greece was occupied. There are plenty towers and buildings like this around the country.
And after that the road gets really straight leading you to the banks of the river Kalamas! Crossed the gate but unfortunatelly this road stops about 200m down.
