Even with the power up these bikes run a bit lean. Add a pipe and pre filter air box mod and its even leaner. The tuner will allow you to ad fuel all through out the rpm range or if you're low on fuel and miles from gas, you could lean it out. You'll get a better throttle response, more power and cooler motor. Call JD jetting and they'll explain it very well.
Mine is definitly not running too lean. I was thinking about getting a tuner so I could lean it out a bit. Its close, but just a tad on the rich side. I'm wondering if the settings can be a bit random, even after the power up, from bike to bike depending on how there were set at the factory? Another good reason to get a tuner.
I think the magnet on the brake disc fell out and got lost and my speedo isn't working because of it. Could someone post a pic or send me a link of a pic of what these look like so I can verify one way or another? I don't have a clue what it's supposed to look like.
No I have the Leo. Stock the bike was so lean there was ash on the plug. I wouldnt ride it until the kit came in. Mileage went from 65 mpg to 40-45 mpg after the pu kit. I'm Right around 10k miles on the motor now and the plug is a chocolate brown. I like to shoot for maybe a little closer to a leather tan. Most of my riding is close to sea level. Local Dez, Baja etc and it does run nice and cool. I think I've seen my fan come on maybe 3 times. I'm guessing having a tuner installed would allow me to make small adjustments depending on the conditions?
Thanks for the pic. I'm a bit confused with the pic. Which side is that? Is that the side closest to the pickup sensor or on the opposite side of the disc? Reason I ask is that I've got what looks like the pic on the other side of the disc from the pick up sensor, but the side facing the sensor looks hollow...like a magnet may have been there and fell out. Anyway, I did unhook the battery and.....no luck.
That's the spoke side off the disc, I took the photo from the throttle side of bike through the wheel.
Can anyone with a 07 610 take me a pict of the clutch cable routing near the tank rad area? Mine seems very close to the rad cap almost to where if it moved just right it might open the cap up thanx I have the big IMS tank
I run it like this as do most others... then one through the loop that bolt to side cover and do on...
You would be hard pressed to get the clutch cable to move enough to open rad cap with it routed the proper way.
Does anyone know if there is a good rear disk guard for the 06 610te? Say Scott's or something like that? They make it for other huskys will they cross over to this model?
Hey Erik, Just buy a shark fin for a TE450 and it will fit with a little grinding clearance on the caliper carrier. http://www.scottsperformance.com/Product_Purchase.php?PartType=2&Bike_ID=5192 The other solutions I have seen are to weak.
I bought the 511etc one from these guys and with slight mod it works great and matches their front unit that is plug and play. They both do the job - I have tested them! I detailed it in Cafe Husky: http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/shark-fin-soup.22394/ e-mail them as they might have modded it as well now for 610's but if not an easy fix.
So I ordered a new RK GB520exw chain for the 49 tooth iron man I got. They sent me the RK GB520xso instead Will that chain be ok to run off road? Or should I send it back?
