I actually did a (bit of a) "mini" bike build myself yesterday...

My two girls little 200cc supermoto (Hyosung) was showing the after effects of summers antics in the paddocks around home... and a lack of regular TLC, so "dutyfull daddy" thought he would give it a spic 'n span...? :D

    So several hours, rounded nuts, skinned knuckles and assorted Tiawanese swear words - from battling the assorted ill fitting components of this little fun machine - later... the "little black bastard" was in fighting form again;

here's my work rist; (from owners/work manrual) :D

    1. dismount right and reft side cuvva.
    2. dismount seating seat and petroll trank. (skin knuckles on tank mount) FR¤#k! :huh
    3. put on mecharric gruvvs... :lol3
    4. Remove air frilter erement (cut wrist on sharp plastic edge from chist knows where?) Crean air frilter erement and arroww to dry...
    5. Remove engine oil drain prugg and drain oil into prastic tray. In abscence of suitable KLR rider, poor used oil on nearest fence post (what good this is for aluminium fence posts...I'm damned if I know...? but I'm just following what the general concensus on the "used oil thread" dictates - like any good Oz AdvRider :lol3 ).
    6. Roosen oil frilter cuvva brolts, remove oil frilter, and drip oil on froor... :huh
    7. Use reft knee (unintentionally) to crean up oil spill on froor... :evil
    8. Remove spark prug (and reprace wiff new sprark prug).
    9. Refitt air new oil frilter och frilter cuvva... refrill motor wiff crean engine oil; ESS EH EEE 10 dubbel rew 40.
    10. Adjust srack in frottle cable adjuster (serveral times)... give up... reprace frottle control unit wiff quality KTM item from daddys spare parts box.
    11. Re-assremble petroll trank, sitting seat, as well as right and reft side cruvvas.
    12. Spot air filter erement hanging on shelf drying... :lol3
13: Appry crean frilter oil on frilter erement.
    13. Repreat steps 1, 2, refrit air frilter erement and perform step 11... again:wink:
    14. Crean drive chain wiff blake cleaner and blush...
    15. Coat moptorcycle in motorex bike wash.
    16. Wash moptorcycle wiff Karcher pressure washer.
    17. Ripe off moptorcycle wiff crean wrag...
    18. Splay brike wiff "BLIKE SHLINE".
    19. Porrish off mnoptorcycle wiff crean rag.
    20. Splay Dubbell-rew Dee 40 on all moving compronents (blake, clutch och susprension rinkages etc.
21: Splay blake creaner on blake driscs... ripe off.

Catch 22: Watch in horror only a few hours later when the kids plow said bike into nearest mudhole all over again! :cry

Oh well... what are dad's for...? :D At least there having fun!

Gonna give Cam's little JR 50 a going over tomorrow... and about time too...! the skin on my knuckles is just about healed! :lol3

    Umm, the tank rusted out?

    I think thats about it.

I'm culling most of my old projects because I just don't have the time to do anything to them and they are taking up valuable room at my parents place, and the RZ is one of the ones that is going.

I wouldn't like to try and get it registered, and a unregistered bike is pretty much useless to me.

At this stage, the 640, DT, KX, KDX and KLX.

I finished rebuilding the KLXs engine a few months ago and I may get rid of it as soon as its back together.

The 640 is an ongoing thing and with over 60000 K's on the clock I'm thinking she needs a refresh.

The KX is for VMX and the DT is the Vinduro mount.

And tomorrow I start on adventurising the KDX...

Hey did I show The Missionary the article about a guy who rode a KDX around oz in 92?:lol3

I think he's seen it. He is keen to adventurise a KDX. I think it's the best bike for an adv 2 stroke. I tried to adv a husky WR360....not a good choice, I imagine the drawbacks are much like your YZ WR. Vibes, wont sit on a constant speed, needs a much much bigger flywheel etc.

The KLX rebuild, is that the same engine that had valves hitting piston on that ride we did? I though that engine was beyond it?
