KTM 950/990 Adventure owners show off your bike

hey adventure rider ! how does the wind deflector on your windshield work ? do you still feel the buffeting ?

Finally got round to taking a picture, nowhere spectacular, but was waiting for Blue (UK) to go and see David Knight at today's WOR event in Derbyshire.



Also got a rare shot of three 950's together, obviously, mine and Blue's are the much faster orange models



And while I'm at it, here's one of my 400 EXC

and I like showing it off....

Here's a few before running the iron man course in Odessa, Wa last weekend. Mine is the blue S model. Many people must have thought there was an earthquake along the course. Do not, I repeat do not get behind one of these big things on a rocky hill! You do not have enough protection.

I fitted my new 19/17" Excels with Dunlop D607 radials (110/80/19 & 150/70/17 tires on 2.5 & 4.5" rims).

IMO this is what KTM should have done with the low bike right from the start. The stock bike is already excellent but these wheels & tires show just how much better it can be on tarmac.

Lighter handling, quicker steering, much more stability and feedback when leaned over and subjectively twice as much grip. Very confidence inspiring. This is by far the best mod I've done. Simply awesome...




This is a 2003 S bike lowered to 'regular' by swapping out all components involved. The overall height of the bike dropped another 15mm at the seat with the 19/17" wheels. The lower it gets, the better it gets...

Yeah, it’s a <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1lace w:st="on">Gobi</st1lace> top case made by Hepco Becker and yes, the Efes Dark absolutely goes better with dirt free, sparkling KTMs… (a bit too sterile?)

An artistic 950

Picked it up this morning about 11 and didn't get home until after 7. It definitely brings the 'enjoyment' factor back to riding - for me! .

It looks clean, although not for long... can't wait for the 1000km service and AKRO's .. although she sounds good stock.

Picked up my 2005 950 Adventure S yesterday




Funny the sticker on tank read: 'Read the owners manual before riding this bike'......ehhh yeah right, only problem was my dealer is 120 km away from my home, well I took the risk of riding the beast before I read my manual
