Thanks Mr. Boola- I'll give the brighter buld a try first. Honestly, I think the 5 3/4" headlight is mismatched aesthetically against the bulbous EFI tank on the Scrambler, plus I'm a fan of bottom-mount headlights so I was going to give one of my 1950's Cycle Ray 7" lights a new lease on life with a high output bulb. But for now, I'll stuff a better buld in the plastic stock shell and call it a day:D

Unless something has changed, the guys on the other side of the pond have better reflectors than the US scramblers -- better bulbs seem to help their bikes more than ours. You may end up needing that 7" after all...

Let us know how it turns out.

7" housing with a "Trucklite" LED would be great.

I have both a Scrambler & Thruxton & the difference between the lights is night & day...The Thruxton is so much better.

    Cheers Terry

It seems for every make of shocks there are people who like that brand which makes me think that they all work OK and are all better than stock springs.....I am looking at Bitubo who have 360s and 380s to choose from and was wondering if anyone has experience/advice on either.....90% of my use will be on roads....Ta!
Also when fitting bar end mirrors do the stock weights have to be removed because they are tapered?

The fun has started. I have had it out every day since I got it. Good thing I got a full face helmet to protect that grin that has been plastered on my face!!

So did Makis have anything to do with this? He was like the little devil on my shoulder saying. Do it...do it! So I finally did.

Hey Bighead3, the guys at Myers are great arent they? Bought a Triple a few years back from them. I got the Matt Graphite from Charlotte Triumph. Agree on the full face helmet, protects that bug eating grin!

Hi, I've just bought a black '12 scram and amongst other things I want to change the bars. I like you black 'western'? Bars. Any info on them?
Sorry guys...first post and thought the image etc from the original post would show.
I'll try again but if anyone knows a supplier of fairly high wide black bars please let me know

Sorry for the slow reply Simon - haven't been around much.
As mentioned above the lights come from New Bonneville.
    http://www.newbonneville.com/html/running_light_kit.html

You can ask them to wire out the running lights if you don't want your turn signals on all the time. Thats what I did.

Great bunch of new custom Scramblers showing up. Soon as I think I've seen it all, fresh ideas show up.

Lets see your Scrambler from all sides Extreme scrambler! Looking good.

wow, just finished reading this thread from start to finish! I started around Christmas because I had a vague interest in a Scrambler.....this thread convinced me it was the right choice.

Just want to say a huge thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread. I have read all of the internet and this is the best thread ever.

    Cheers.

Is that a starlet or a nobody? Either way, she certainly is some body.
