The engine block came from Ducati not Bultaco! The port design, stroke, hub and exhaust where made in analogy with Bulto to be correct.

What's the name of their four stroke trials bike that came out in 1983/84?

Scot............I know someone that has one, pretty nasty if you try to use it for trials, but a good trail bike I would think.

Yep, but interesting engine design as the engine uses the two stroke engine block. They added a camshaft between primary gears and used ram rods to actuate the valves (4).
The engine had a dry sump lubrication and an extro oil filter, this added a lot of extra weight to the bike.

The total weight was around 105kg, dry! I had one once but couldn't get familiar with the power output.

This is a good thread -- you first-generation guys need to educate us latecomers.

When did trials originate in the US? I imagine the sport dates to the first Scottish, more or less... When did NATC form up, and the state clubs?

You need a Bernie book and almost any old national flyer has the old results. NATC seems like it was `74 or `75 with out looking it up. Also look up RMTA as they were the most invovled club besides california.
Here is an easy one. How many ceo`s has the NATC had in the almost 40 year history?

Oh, I know I need a Bernie book. I made inquiries, and something mysterious is developing in my club (date of origin unknown to me) as to how these Bernie books are gonna come available, in good time....

NATC: I'm gonna guess Ron Saum, then the guy who just left, then the current guy? I have a Ron Saum sticker on my fender, but I DON'T KNOW NOTHING! Sorry...

Last two are good. I remember Ron as far back as I remember any one from arizona. ( I think Ron invented clock control and first minder I ever saw) But it is not an arizona guy. :D
