I agree. Isaac, I'm glad to see you and your father are making these rides a regular part of your routine. Your photos are always excellent and I'm sure an expanded RR would be much enjoyed by all. :thumb

We found the Mexican food and beer but got funny looks when I asked for Hookers so I didn't inquire about the blow.

I knew I should have followed the cool kids :lol3

One of us could tell you a big fat lie about a lush green camp site, with cool breezes, hot showers, convienece store and gas station a block away, but no one would believe us. John's got it right, hookers and blow.

Would have love to have you there, Bob. Apparently there's hookers and blow in King City. :lol3

Anyone ride Rincon-shortcut OHV area? I was planing on riding it for the first time this Sat. Anyone know if it's open? Do I really have to go through the river ranger district office to access the gate? Last time I drove by it seemed open and there was a booth for fees. Can I get a permit at the pay booth?

The shortcut road is closed until further notice. You need a permit and a combination for the lock. You can check with the USFS district office in Glendora for info. When it is open, they will issue permits as well as the guard shack in the canyon.
