Nice bike! You did way better than me. I got this '94 off CL a few days ago, but paid $1750. I've already de-stickered it and have been working on returning it to stock. It looks like it will be a fine replacement for my XT225. BTW, if you get a hankering to try a Supertrapp, let me know. I'd swap mufflers with you in a heartbeat. I generally like my bikes stock, or nearly stock.
Got it from a co-worker who mentioned in passing that he had a dual sport he didn't ride anymore! I jumped all over it!
Mine will be the counterpart to my 950 Adv. As far as exhaust, I'm going to go wiith the jesse mod. when I raise the $ for the pumper. Right now I'm focused on a tall seat and riser bars as I'm 6'3 and drag my knuckles. Then I'll put a decent set of springs front and rear.

Does anybody here have one they are looking to sell?? I had the same thought, the acerbis tank is sweet. Unfortunately my dr is on a farckles restricted diet this winter. Although I did just do my clutch today and a lightly used pumper carb is on it's way. I said diet not starvation I pulled the old clutch plates/springs and installed new ones. The old ones looked good(with 22000 km's on the bike) and probably would have been fne for another 10'000 k's. While I had it apart I milled .005" off the back of the clutch basket hoping to cure the hard to find nuetral problem I have. Here are some pics just cause I'm bored. John
Picked up my 350 SEV today & rode it 30 miles home. 1st impressions: The motor's OK pulls fine up to 70mph, it's an unfamiliar bike & my bro was following so I didn't risk going past 70. Front brake squeels when cold. Difficult to get into neutral. I like my bikes to be 'sorted' so it's going to take a few weekends to get this to a standard I'm happy with. Any tips for a new owner? Frame & some bits have rusted. The stand was very tight to fold down, a quick squirt of oil was all it needed. I may replace the chain & sprockets. Watch this space, I'll be back with updates.
From what I've read, I was leaning towards the Acerbis because it has (I think) 2 petc*cks so you don't have to lean and shake to get all of the fuel. How does the Clark tank compare?
I've got the Clarke tank and will be putting it on soon. I am somewhat bemused by the design because it looks like much of the capacity may be below the level of the petcock. I'm wondering how much capacity is really added.
Well,i run a IMS on my DR650,and have that problem once in a great while.So i just plant a foot,and pop the clutch do a good old MX turn and i get the gas to the petcock!! Its very rare that i get that far with over 200 miles range,and to me it isn't that big of a deal to lean it over if i get caught short. Trust me 200 or over on any DR is time to get off and strech anyway.
The acerbis tank is also a rather different shape from the others. Its quite thin between the knees, dips down lower then flares out in front of the knee pockets. Makes for a more comfortable and slimm feeling bike imho. The forward flare also tends to help keep wind from pulling your legs out for extended high speed rides.

I bought mine last year with the Ebay rack on it. That rack is pretty sturdy. Attached a piece of painted plywood to the rack last summer for a couple of trips. Works great. no platform With platform
Did you ever post any pictures of your supermoto set up once you finished it? I remember you posted a couple of pictures of the front wheel and the brake caliper adapter, but I never saw the rear wheel that you used or the complete set up. Please post some if you have any. Thanks. Hugh
