No actually. I hope the new lights work better than the old lights, but I doubt it. I wish they didn't weld the peg hangers on.

So it wold have been a good time to see whether the new mirrors could be made a bit more Aerodynamic because that's the thing that sucked about them.

That probably could have been achieved by the money saved on not working on a silly beak which serves no real purpose on a bike like this. It's not a DR, despite what the marketing department want people to think.

The main things that needed changes was the suspension and getting that motor updated. Looks like they have done that and more, which is good.

When can I see a new one at a dealership?
I can't read back through all these pages to see if the question is already answered.

I think the dead on front view doesn't look too bad. UNfortunately, the side view is just damn wimpy looking. Looks like a bird. A very ugly, wimpy looking bird. Too bad, I actually kinda like the new 650's look.

the problem most have with the mirrors is they sit in too far and thus you look at your shoulders, thus you must buy extenders. when you think about spending that money many just parlay those funds into better looking mirrors.

I'm looking forward to seeing other colors besides red. Those red accents are a very bad color for the bike.

Yes the looks are a little odd (i'd get it in black to hide some of that), but it will sell well because it brings all that legendary Strom reliability to the table with much better suspension and brakes.

I've pissed all over the recent Honda threads, so thought I might drop in here, if only to say something positive; I like the new Strom!

Not a fan at all of the new Wee. That looks like it got the same cheap metrosexual redesign as the SV, oops I mean Gladius :puke2

Is it a bird, or a plane?! No, its a freaking penguin...

I'm all for riding some kind of a beast, I just dont think a penguin falls in that category...

The looks seem fine. What I want to know is the quality of the fork and shock. Everything else looks like a winner, except passenger foot rest mounts. They stick out too much.

Liking it. It certainly looks more dirt worthy. Only other dirt worthy big V Twin is the KTM. No. Not a Uly thank you. Its gotta have at least 100hp to excite me. Looking foreward to a test.:evil

The restyled Wee was done in a very feminine manner and I can only guess that Suzuki wanted to appeal to ladies with it but the styling of this 1000 is hard to understand. It would be interesting to hear from Suzuki why they styled it the way they did. The front end with that headlight and duck beak is just silly looking. I know the Strom series have always been budget bikes and not built to be at the top of the big dual sport class in anything other than price, but why make it this ugly?

Exactly, main reason people get turned off with the maturity level here, sad most guys here are well into their 40's+ & act like elementary school yard tough guys :thwak

The bike looks great coming from a 800XC owner btw

Calm down, geez it's the internet......:norton

At least we're talking about the bikes - it would be worse for Suzuki if they released a new model and nobody said a thing......
