Nice setup! I busted my chain/heel guard this weekend. Your last pic just convinced me to rhino line it to match.

Those mirrors are shit - I had some on my XR and one just disintegrated. They also don't fold - well they do if they are loose enough but then they just flop around.

There was (is ?) a guy in Vendors selling some folding mirrors with extra long stalks so you really get a good view behind you but they then just fold out the way when you hit dirt.

Amuses me when these are sold as "KTM" or "BMW". Truth is, most bikes have the same thread for the mirrors. Both are made in Italy by F.A.R. Refer to my post above to see what they look like on our bike.

Took it out today to try some off pavement action (first time for this bike and me). Found a promising section of utility line "road" and just managed to get past the gate and soon discovered that the Pirelli Scorpion Trails just packed up and offered no grip.

Dismounted, took a photo and turned around. Time to get some KNOBBIES.

I put scorpion trails on my Uly back in 2010 as that was all there was for it. They worked, I did a offroad ride with them. They worked pretty good until I had to go up a steep heel with wet grass. It was like having a slick tire on an oil slick.

I just got 1k on my green XC. Super, super bikes. Holan engine guards were my choice. From a vendor here, no affiliation.

Thanks for the link to the Holan's, first time I've checked them out and they look great, quite a bit tighter to the bike than the others I've seen.

Congratulations to both! I am getting my green XC on Friday :clap might have to wait for a few days to ride as there's still of snow on the ground. I am considering the Tiger Adventure-Spec hard parts bundle, I like like the engine guards and skid plate, don't like the price...

I would say get it. Its a decent price for the package and the first time your Tiger naps on the trail, it just paid for itself. I particularly like their engine bars with cross brace. That should stand up to some significant abuse. Good luck on the new bike. I bought a KLR instead since I already have a Girlie with half the Touratech Catalog on it.

You have no idea Kennedy. That is why I will be keeping my 955i for quite some time. That is considering I kept the Zega bags that were on my Uly for use on the Tiger.

On a separate note, there is a very well farkled, lightly used Tiger 800 for sale at the Triumph dealer here in Anchorage. Nice fly n ride. Just throwing it out there for anyone on the 48 that want to ride Alaska, great opportunity.

i have SW Motech engine guards, they have great coverage, installation was straight forward and they are quite robust...however the quality and coverage comes with a weight penalty. But i am very happy with them...I have some installed pics up in this forum.
