Working on our rider bios. 1st one is: Rider: Kevin Muggleton Bike: 2012 Honda CRF450X Rally Support Team: Freedom Rally Racing Website: Team Redverz - Kevin Muggleton to Dakar 2013 2014 will be Kevin's 2nd time attempting to conquer the trials of the Dakar. Sadly last year, Dakar took him out on Stage 2 breaking his back in multiple places. Dakar may of knocked him down, but it couldn't keep him there for long. He has been going through some intense training to get his body in one piece again and prepared to triumph this year. He says "If you don't push boundaries at my age, you might as well give up....Recover faster, train harder, pretty simple!" At 47 years of age, Kevin Muggleton has lived a life of adventures. Or rather, has lived several lives in one. And for the American born in the UK, life needs to be a challenge. After spending time in the army and while working as a photographer and film maker for National Geographic, he traveled from Europe all the way to Cape Town on his bike, on the route of the African Dakar rallies. Time has now come for this Taekwondo black-belt who prepared specifically with an endurance coach to take on the big one: the Real Dakar, on a South American soil that almost doesn't have any secrets for him. Ever since I was eleven, I wanted to do the Dakar. I wanted to be a Dakar biker. I've ridden bikes all over the world. I left school to enter the army. I traveled around the world on foot, hitchhiking and in all kind of vehicles. I'm now more than excited. I'm happy but tell myself: Oh my goodness ' If you don't push boundaries at my age, you might as well give up. I now want to make it to the top of the mountain, reach the finish. I'll take it minute by minute. I know that even if I'm stuck in the sand at 45°C, it won't last forever. There aren't many events with that camaraderie. Everyone goes through the same hardship. After going through such an experience, you make friends for life." Pictures here ...... https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.517405398352919.1073741827.344272278999566&type=1

Rider: Mateo Moreno Bike: 2013 KTM 450RR (Rally Replica) Support Team: Freedom Rally Racing Website: Reto Dakar Seasoned Dakar competitor Mateo Moreno , from Colombia, is back for the 2nd year in a row to again, accept the Dakar challenge. In 2013 he successfully completed the Dakar race with the support of Freedom Rally Racing. Mateo and his support team are in the final preparation stages for 2014 race. Biggest change this year is the upgrade to a 2013 KTM 450RR Rally Replica! Just a little more seat time and testing with Team Manager and Mechanic before they crate the Replica and ship to Argentina. In the nineties Mateo was a Kawasaki rider and his journey in the world of motorcycles has been very varied. Five years ago he began to explore the world of rally raid. He has little experience in the rally field; no more than participation in a rally in China in 2010, yet Mateo has a passionate desire to compete in the Dakar. Lots of preparation: gym, controlled eating, and participating in numerous motorcycle workshops. His motto has been, "get there first and ask questions later." For him, it worked. He successfully completed Dakar 2013 and ready for 2014. Mateo says - "I am a super fan of the Dakar though I have not lived close in any way. My time in South America is the great opportunity for a passionate and adventure ride. The sand in Peru and Chile is not something we have in Colombia, but have experienced this element riding in Mexico. My approach is to come. I've prepared for that ... but at the cost of many extra hours in every aspect of my life. " Pictures here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.518392761587516.1073741828.344272278999566&type=1
Rider: Marco Saldarriaga Bike: 2013 KTM 450RR (Rally Replica) Support Team: Freedom Rally Racing Website: Reto Dakar The excitement and challenge of his successful 2013 Dakar completion has brought native Colombian, Marco Saldarriaga, back to South America with Freedom Rally Racing for 2014. Last year was his first time entering into an adventure of this caliber and looks forward to another successful rally finish. Marco being a rookie pilot, shows how skilled a rider he has become in such a short time. It wasnt so long ago that Marco Antonio first joined the world of motorcycling, but quickly progressed. In 2010 he won a national title at a Colombian rally. Off the track he has developed a motorcycle accessory business to develop and improve, among other things, a road book which was presented at the 2013 Dakar. His ambitions are those of a well prepared rookie and is well versed in what is needed. Marco was awarded a VIP trip to Dakar in 2010, where he discovered the world of the bivouac site and watched Marc Coma, the Prohens and other amateurs. He saw the magnitude of the challenge but realized that they were just pilots like him who could face the Dakar. Marco Antonio quickly decided join the story. I am 100% a bike lover. The trial started about 15 years ago after lots of participation in Mountain bike and Cyclo Cross. At my company we develop a new type of road book, leading us into the rallies, participating in competitions like this in my own country. On a Yamaha, I got a Ténéré 660 to go from Colombia to Chile with a rest day in Arica. It was a nice adventure. Upon arrival I discovered the world of Dakar. Upon entering the bivouac, what I thought was impossible, was achievable but challenging. Here I am now, to start my own story with the Dakar as part of the team that rode with many of our products which are beginning to be recognized, and we are equipped, for example, Ignacio Casale quadricycle.
