I'm going to play again! This is my '06 with 150 miles on the clock. That's right 150 miles and riding on the Continental Divide Route:

Those Sahara's actually did much better than they had a right to.

This poor guy (Highlandfrog) didn't make it out alive. The bike broke it's rear wheel off and got left on the hill for three weeks:

I was just on my way home from picking up the new bike:

I'm very curious, how much hp @ what RPM was your 640 able to throw down?

Me at this years Alcan 5000 with co-rider Tim with his 640E. The old 640 was a blast on the long gravel stretches and held up very well.

    Yo!

This is my first post here, and my first KTM ...
Brought it two weeks ago from a friend with 25.500 on the counter, now it has 27.000 on the counter and it is in the KTM service, waiting for general repair ... they will fix it in a few days ...

    Hey Tiki, welcome!

What is that front tire? I am curious about some tires from your region: Mitas/Trelleborg and Mefo are two brands that come to mind. We don't get too many examples over here in the 640 Adventure class, or info on them. So if you have any info on those brands... :ear

    Tire is Michelin T63.

I heard some stories, Mitas are not good as Michelin, but they are also cheaper here.
We also don't have many examples, because our KTM distributor told me, they sold 4 (four!) pcs of Adv 640 in last 3 years in Croatia.

My "pumpkin" is '04., and I hope, I will not have to spend money for new chrankshaft bearings every year, because I want to have new Adv in two years or so.

Any experience with the Trelleborgs? There are some local importers that I might hit up for a few...

What is your concern with the crankshaft bearings? :ear
