I just got a velorex 562 attached to me klr last December or so. I have put a few thousand miles on it since then. I took it on the Swinging Bridge Dual Sport Ride. I got diverted onto a very deeply rutted road down to the river near the end of Saturdays ride and thought I wasn't going to make it out without a tow truck and/or a crane.....but I did. Tooke the wife on an overnight camping trip too.....so I would say that this experimrnt is a success(for me). Here's some pictures of some places I've been and things I've done on it:

Small displacement, heavy flywheel, light weight, very capable, lots of fun ! 1960 Greeves Hawkstone/Scottish 1974 Velorex 560 Don in Nipomo
I really love that combo Don. I don't have a sidecar set-up yet, but when I build one someday I'm using yours as inspiration. Pete

It still pulls to the right at 55 mph. This is my first attempt at installing a sidecar. I sure would like to post a picture directly to advrider, but I have no idea on how to do it.
simitat, when you move your mouse over a picture on your bucket page, just single click copy img and then paste that in your post. It will appear after you post your replay.
Heres a few I've had - in order of ownership K100 & double HRD. Front wheel setup was offset by about 50 mm to the right so it steered odd. I put a K100 rear wheel on and it steered well after that. R100GSPD and Ural - cant find a pic of this. 1150 GSA & Double HRD Current one - K100 and much modified DJP - still "under development", but showing promise.
Here's my rig, 2006 KLR650 with a Sputnik sidecar. Custom subframe and connecting hardware from CSM Sidecars. Got a few hundred miles on it since getting everything sorted out and adjusted. Have been on some rough rotted-out roads with the wife in the hack and it works really well. Just put the stripes on today I ordered from a local sign shop to help "tie in" the car with the bike. I think it looks great! And if you're interested, here's how I attached the Pelican 1500 tailcase with a system that allows easy removal/transfer of the case to another bike: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=19646281&postcount=764
Hello, Did you install the torsion bar? If so, can you supply more information and maybe pictures. I have installed a Velorex 562 on my DR650 and would like to install a torsion bar. By the way, you have a very nice looking rig. Thanks Rick Miller
