Today John and Bob are out in our secret desert testing location scaring the squirrels. After dozens of miles John texted me.....

Today was a good day. Found out what the bike gets for fuel mileage, that I don't know how to operate a go pro, and that even a blind hog gets an acorn every once in awhile( the bike actually works and works well)l. The suspension is good and it was easier to ride than Bob's xr 600.

I will try to post up the videos that I did get on the card tomorrow. The good one of Bob taking some sweet jumps didn't get recorded.

Got a chance to take the bike out with John yesterday and Wow, just effin Wow!

I dont want to give away any trade secrets, so I will be a bit vague. This suspension set-up is the cats meow. Honzilla pleasantly surprised and amazed with its abillity to absorb some difficult, high speed technical trail with nary a hint of effort. Power is very usable and blends well with the suspension.

Also got a chance to meet and mingle with some of the LameCo senior technical advisors to this build yesterday, as well as visiting the man-cave where scores of classic old scooters are stored. Very impressive indeed.

Kudos to John and the behind the scenes crew for putting together a serious Baja runner.

Finished up the bike today. John Jr will clean her up tomorrow, change oil, etc. The senior tech adviser in charge of negativity, doom & gloom, all things bad & President of the He man woman haters club rode Honzilla today. He came back speechless and with a twinkle of hope & optimism in his eye. Perhaps, disaster is not so imminent. In the immortal words of Louis L'Amour all outlaws are optimists. So are us racers. :ricky

Congratulations! :clap Good luck and be safe. I never believed you'd get that project finished in time to make the start. :bow

We've had bike builds started in November targeting Daytona in March. Yet it always ended the same; scrambling to finish the bikes in the wee hours before the drive south at dawn in driving snow...and then we wouldn't know what we had until first pit-out. :arg

I guess it's the same for everybody. :lol3

She looks great. Now go get 'em!

I've been vintage roadracing with SMRI in Albuquerque for several years now & it's just like you say. Everything is always down to the wire. I think it's just human nature. We're actually way ahead on this event in that the bike was finished a few days before the event!! :clap
    Appreciate the support!

We ended up making some very limited edition Shirts and hats for the crew and have some available for our supporters.

These hats are not just any hats... These are LAMEco Racing special hats commemorating our upcoming 2012 effort. Not only are they hats but they also will open your favorite mexican beer for you. Because under the brim we tucked away a chrome steel bottle opener.

We only have a very limited supply so PM me if you want one. These will be $25 shipped CONUS.

If you want a designer Michael Brandon shirt we have a few. Those will come with the LAMEco Racing logo on the left breast and will be $40 dollars shipped CONUS. (no vintage HONDA patch though) PM me your size and I will give payment instructions via PayPal.
