Was that the first time Chris Carr did television announcing for a race?

He did a very good job of explaining details and pointing out what the riders were doing without oversimplifying. He comments were relevant, concise and interesting and he never stammered or left dead air. Commentary on a live race is a pretty difficult task. Ask anyone who has tried it. Leigh Diffey was great as always.

Kudos to Carr and I hope we get more coverage of AMA Pro Flat Track.

Thanks for the cool pic. My wife and I were sitting just to the right of the first white pillar on the second level. Same seats every year. The mile is just around the corner on Memorial Day weekend on Sunday. Best racing anywhere.

Also the TT is Saturday night before. Sadly it seems the short track and TT are no longer part of the program after 2012. IMDA is losing $$.

Springfield TT and Mile this weekend! Anyone going?

Yep I will be at the TT and the mile. I usually go around to the general admission hillside for the TT. I think I'm in section D by the walkway at the mile.

Is it possible to watch the racing online anywhere?

Yup. MavTV. They made many announcements through the night reminding us of it. Didn't have show times yet.

The TT track seemed pretty fast last night. Lots of bumping and wrecking though. Henry Wiles had the final wired! It was good to see Steve Bonsey reappear on a racing scene, any racing scene.

I thought MSF says head up and look forward through the turn not back across the track at god knows what.
