Just happens to coincide with my regular four day weekend. What's not to like?

It was good to get on the bike. I hadn't really ridden since getting back from BYOB over a month ago, between working long hours and the repulsive heat and humidity, it just didn't happen.

I got a little cornfuzzled after I got off the interstate and had pulled over to look at a map when I saw this guy coming, so I acted like a damsel in distress and he stopped and rescued me.

The June Taylor Dancers came onstage when I arrived.

I can't think of any inane comments right at the moment, so here's a random sampling of Friday afternoon shots.

We had a crowd for breakfast.



After breakfast we stood around in the parking lot sweltering and wasting the cool part of the day until a few of us finally just went on; that caused a sandy crack or two but WTF, lets make a move already. Mark O wanted to go here for a tag...





This really is a big bridge, couldn't fit it all in one shot (and I can't find my stitching software).

Guess what? There's a way to get up on the roadbed...



If you look toward the end of the bridge, you can see what looks like a cut through the trees going off to the right. That's where the track goes. What we are all standing on in the pic above is a 4-wheeler trail running alongside the tracks. No point in turning around then, is there? It was only about a mile from the far end of the bridge to the first chance we had to get down to the main road. Be advised, the Wee is not the best bike for riding on railroad ballast, especially with a wuss like me at the controls.
