My suggestion would be to start at the rear signals, since the wiring for them runs along the steel subframe and a raw wire there would cause a short against the subframe. IIRC you also have the replacement taillight and signals so I'd look pretty hard at the connections between the factory wiring and the aftermarket wiring.

Until you sort it out... don't use your blinkers?

Check the bulbs and sockets first I've seen bad bulbs blow fuses. At least you've got it narrowed down to one system. Electrical problems can be a major pita.

Or meef seems to know you modded your electrical system. Start there.

If it's happening when you're NOT using your turn signals, I'd look to the front signal wires. Those bulbs are always on.

I'd disconnect the signal wires one at a time and try process of elimination.

Lic. plate light is also an "always on" circuit.

It's happening when I'm NOT using the signals. Meef is right about having a different tail light. I have the DRC Edge one. Only way I know it happens is the dash goes out. Then I know not to turn off the bike cause it won't start. :( When I get home tonight I'll tear into it. I'll post up here what I find out hopefully before it get too late.

Any dash upgrades? Something has to be shared between all those systems. Loose batt cable maybe?

Ok, I figured it out. The wires from the brake pedal switch pulled out and were shorting out on the exhaust. :(

I managed to hook them back up but probably need to solder the connections in order to get them to hold.

ANyone interested in a quick Danville ride tomorrow? Big bikes from my place or doing some exploring around Utica and such isn't out of the question either. I should be working, but I could be pretty easily coerced into riding motorcycles instead.

Can't be an all day affair, but I could spend 4 hours or so....

Ok, WRR is fixed and good to go now. Which do you want to do? Looks like it's just us anyway. ;) I've never been to Wayne and would like to check it out but heard ATVs are bad on weekends. I'll need to buy a pass too.

You decide and let me know when and where. Send me your cell number in a PM.

Maybe some lurkers will join us? :huh

Just take all that brake light switch crap off. I took mine off when I bought my WR. On the street I use the front brake and off road who cares if you have a brake light?

Lisa and I are heading that way to find where we will be doing a intro to competition shooting class. I have your number and can call you once we get to Danville if you don't mind big bikes and gravel roads. :D Should be up there around 12:eek:o or so.

Cool, drop me a line and we can run a nice gravel and twisty route back toward your direction.
