    They didn't have photoshop back then. It was all dark room magic. Takes a sharp blade and a keen eye to blend multiple photos to look clean.

    I always liked that Ad Poster though.

    IIRC, it was from a Sports Illustrated article or something similar. And it was at the ONE spot that looked like that. Most of the trail is tight switchbacks down the side of a mountain. It's got a lot of exposure, but not like the sheer cliff in the photo.
