They didn't have photoshop back then. It was all dark room magic. Takes a sharp blade and a keen eye to blend multiple photos to look clean.

I always liked that Ad Poster though.

Well gee, photoshop is easier to say than keen eye, sharp blade, dark room magic.

Famous photo of Black Bear Road. You don't have to be crazy to drive this road, but it helps.

Black Bear must've been much narrower back then.

IIRC, it was from a Sports Illustrated article or something similar. And it was at the ONE spot that looked like that. Most of the trail is tight switchbacks down the side of a mountain. It's got a lot of exposure, but not like the sheer cliff in the photo.

No personal experience but that dealer has always seemed like a hack. They advertise on Craigslist up here in MN. Every car has speedometers, signals, horns and stuff that doesn't work. Slap on a cheap paint job a new set of tires and a high price tag.
