Seems like an interesting retro standard.

I'm a little leary of air-cooled inline 4s though. I expect them to be vibey. I guess I'd need a test ride.

Personally I like vibes. Singles, twins, fours, it's all good.

    YMMV.

I'd buy one of these. Heck, it might be the first bike I ever bought new. PLEASE bring it to the US!

Honda anounced it's 2013 line of cruisers today. No mention of this one.

But everyone knows we need another cruiser.

    I'm not holding my breath

I really like it, but I think for the money Honda would want for it, they wouldn't move as many as they'd want to and see it as another failure in the US market. Personally, as much as I like it...if it was a couple grand more than one of the Triumph retro bikes, I don't think I'd pull the trigger, while I'm always a magic craigslist ad away from owning a Scrambler.

I'd buy the hell out of one.

I don't care what the HP and weight is, this is a bike I'd buy on looks alone. Only thing I don't like is all the ABS junk cluttering up the front end.

This time I wouldn't make the mistake I made with my VFR1200 though.... Rather than get the first one to land and pay all the money I'd have to discipline myself to wait until the inevitable whoring out of leftover units a year later.

    Off with his head!

I was wanting to buy a Honda when i got back into riding a few years ago but there was nothing that i liked. Then i saw these Zrx's and they looked alot like my Nighthawk S so i got one of those.

This cb needs a retangular headlight and more hp. Shaft drive would be nice too.

Some really nice pics over at mcnews.com.

The more I see it the more I like it. WTF is Honda thinking not bringing this bike to the US? :confused

American Honda is thinking how pissed their dealers are going to be when they have unsold 2013 models sitting on showroom floors in 2016.

Not saying that's a good thing either but that's how it goes.

I think this bikes time has come here in the US. A lot of 40-55 year olds cut their teeth on UJM's and are ready to ditch their retro racers and replace them with a little nostalgia. Even if that's not a buyers motivation, it's a fine looking bike and a nice departure from the transformer trend of most current standards.

Piss-poor sales of ZRXs and Bandits tell a different story.

Protip: Successful models sell out in the year they are released. Still pretty easy to get a 2011 1250FA and they aren't listed in the '13 model list AFAIK. I bet there will still be 0 mile FAs sold as new bikes this time next year too.

    Why?

Because the people that like standards are cheap cunts that, while they talk a good game on the interwebs, don't generally buy new bikes.

I'm not sure I'd compare this Honda to a Bandit 1250. Sure they are both standards but the Honda is leans towards style where the 1250 leans towards sport touring.

Very perceptive. Do you know why they didn't bring the naked Bandit over? Because it would have sold even worse. :deal

Kawasaki makes an injected ZRX. Why don't they import it?

    Won't sell.

    Why isn't the W800 imported?

    Won't sell.

I'm shocked that Yamaha brought over the FZ-8. Of course, there's still plenty of brand new 2011s left to choose from.:cry

Ask an H-D dealer what kind of a tough sell an air-cooled bike with mids is. That's why they don't sell the XL with mids anymore.

I like the CB1100, but it won't sell well in the US. There simply aren't enough people that want an aircooled standard. Not even H-D could sell them in sufficient numbers.
