Recieved my weekend project today from ups. warm and safe grip heater heatroller to replace the old high low switch. High starts to burn after a bit and low doesn't warm enough to be felt. Looking forward to getting a windjammer 2 to close up the bottom of my helmet too.The vector 2 is great but flows a bit more air from up under the chin to my face. It will be great when it is warm but leaves my face and chin a bit numb when it is cold out.

NYD i chamged oil, and cleaned upand touched up paint on my crashbars and exhaust guard. A new mirror and right turn signal are on the way which is everything except a new handguard. I had to pull the mount for the exhaust guard back out too. It was slightly crushed.

Thanks. Relieved I don't need to be cut. :D

Looking for a car lift for working on my MGB. Does anyone have any recommendation/personal experiences etc? I have watched Youtube vids and looked online but would rather have a local opinion.

Sucks working on a car on jackstands and 4x4's.

This guy has sold and installed six lifts for me. He mostly does commercial applications but does some home installs from time to time.

Make sure you tell him where you got his number.

Kudos once again to Morton's BMW. 2 years ago I bought a pair of Gerbing G3 gloves there. This week I noticed that the right glove would not "heat". Took them back to Morton's today. They confirmed that the right glove was kaput and did the paperwork to send it back for repair. They said it would take about a month to get it back. I was resigned to the fact that I would have to buy a second pair of gloves as I need them for my commute. Surprise!! Morton's offered me up a pair of loaners while I waited for my originals to get fixed. They weren't new or the same model but they were free. Just an example of great customer service that seems to be the exception vice the rule these days.

It's about time, altho' most of the fun stuff is in TN. Unfortunately, TN hasn't followed suit. Can't imagine one of those rigs turning around at the NC line. That in itself could present some real danger to riders headed west..... or whatever direction that is.

John, I'm glad to hear that you were able to avoid surgery.
I'm going for a ride tomorrow if anybody wants to come along, all are welcome. No formal route planned. Thinking of leaving Chester by 0800, ride backroads to the Nellysford area, hit some gravel/dirt roads around Alhambra, eat a speedy lunch and then high tail it back to Chester, no interstates. I must be back no later than 4:00 to see my daugther perform.
I love my new iPhone4/Scala G4 set-up! The sound quality is very good. It's like getting electric gear after many years of riding in the cold. You will ask yourself "why did I wait so long to get this?" It's awesome to get GPS directions in my helmet, listen to the local police scanner, use "Waze" to find out where all the local speed traps are in real time, communicate via cell with home and intercom with fellow riders without stopping/yelling/using hand signals all while listening to Pandora or iTunes!

Sue likes giving me hand signals............usually the one finger salute :lol3:lol3:lol3 Or if she is riding bit*h she would use the Morris Code method on my helmet :huh:huh:huh We finally did purchase a Scala set up from Morton's and still learning how to use it, it has already saved many knots on my head :evil:evil:evil

No less distracted then when I was looking down to see the map on my tankbag, singing karaoke inside my helmet along with my iPod and stopping on the side of the road to find out where the heck I was and needed to go. :lol2

Want to come along tomorrow? I'm scouting out a section of the dual sport ride I'm leading during the Morton's Spring Fling.

    Like I said................. :rofl

Unfortunately, I can't. Headed up to MD in the early a.m. with trailer in tow to empty out a bunch of furniture from the the inlaws house so it can go on the market. Will also need to play "Duane Schneider" to fix some minor stuff to save the wife a few bux prior to putting it up for grabs.

    Have fun, but ride safe.

Air Force 1 Jumbo was doing touch and goes here at Newport News Airport this afternoon. Was flying right over Jefferson Lab where I work. Man, that's a big freakin' plane! :D

Yup! between Newport News and Andrews AFB, usually they use Dulles Airport cause it's closer. I was up on the roof of my building in DC today and saw AF1 in the skies off to the east, wonder how much that cost the tax payers today. :eek1

They did/do that occasionally at RIC - but - since I no longer work over that way I have no idea if they were there today.

Tain't nuttin' but a bloated 747 (designated VC-25s) farkled to the max with our tax dollars so our resident/present Buffoon in Chief can fly around in luxury. :kboom

$182,000, Oh that's nothing...That arrogant, dirty, corrupt, sleezy, lying, lefty, incompetent socialist you call your president, has spent three TRILLION of our tax dollars on Bull$#IT in the last three years and has accomplished nothing!

While out playing Commuter Tag for lunch today and had to stop and rubber neck the activity down on Dock Street.
Apparently someone put a car into the river....I stayed as long as I could but never saw the car get pulled out....it
was more entertaining watching the Henrico Marine Patrol trying to anchor in the middle of the river :lol3

Oh yeah? Look at your IRAs, mutual funds, or 401K. I do every report period, and it make me want to do something really stoopid. I mean REALLY stoopid. :gun1
